StashPad Holds Your Booze and Cigars Discretely

If you’ve been caught sneaking drinks in one too many times, then you should do away with your old methods and try using the StashPad for a change. It looks like an iPad (okay, maybe a knockoff iPad seeing as it’s way thicker than Apple’s tablets), but it’s actually a flask and cigar case in disguise. It’s thick for a good reason too– all 12 ounces of it, because that’s the volume of drinks it can effectively stash for you.

Just make sure you don’t attempt to actually use the StashPad, whether as a tablet (in case you forget) or as a flask, in front of your boss or you’ll risk giving yourself away. The StashPad is currently up for funding on Kickstarter, where a minimum pledge of $15 will get you one of your very own.

These designer denim pants feature a sown-in slot near the waistband and an extra pocket at the rear– the former for the battery pack and the latter for your phone. That way, you can just stick your gadgets into your jeans and charge ’em as you go.

The jeans retail for $189, which is obviously steep for a pair of jeans. The battery pack doesn’t come with the jeans though, and you’ll have to buy it separately for $49. You’ll be able to charge your iPhone at least three-fourths full using the ultra-slim battery pack. Aside from Apple gadgets, you’ll also be able to use it to charge micro USB-compatible devices.

Gold-plated Smartphone Pays Tribute to Cecil the Lion

You’ve probably heard about Cecil the Lion right now. His story has been making the rounds on the internet and social media, where enraged users have condemned the horrible way he was brought down by a hunter. In his memory, UK company Goldgenie has released a limited 24k Gold smartphone priced at $2,470. The device is gold plater, and on the back is an engraved portrait of the fallen lion, along with the caption “For Cecil and his Kingdom.”

Ten percent of each sale will go to the Friends of Hwange Trust, the organization that’s working to preserve Cecil’s home, the Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe. Only 99 will be made.

The gigantic cassette tape sits atop custom made steel legs and is built with removable remote and bottle holders, cleverly positioned in cassette’s holes. The coolest part is probably the cassette’s label, which you can actually write on because that part is actually a white board. Neat huh?

‘Ant-Man’ Trailer Gets the Lego Treatment– And It Looks Awesome!

Are you excited for Ant-Man? I know I am. He’s not your typical superhero and he certainly doesn’t look it, considering he runs with ants and is roughly the size of one when he transforms. The concept was met with skepticism but a lot of folks were intrigued when the trailer was released. Now here’s another version of that trailer by Antonio Toscano, a LEGO builder extraordinaire who recreated the whole thing using nothing but LEGO bricks.
