Poor Tauntauns. Why must people always be slicing them and jumping inside for warmth? Or sticking them with a pole and mounting them on a carousel? They are one of the cutest and most useful Star Wars animals and yet they get no respect.

This adorable Tauntaun was created for the 2011 Stitch Wars crafting competition, by Mariangela Tan. It is a needle felted tauntaun/amusement park carousel. It is great work and she has lots of other cool geek crafts at her site too.

The detail is really nice on this guy. Just look at the ridges on his nose. I would love a felt tauntaun like this for my desk, but if I tried to make one it would just look like a blob.
