The pen you’ve dreamed of having ever since you were a kid is now a reality. Sure, a lot of folks are working on 3D chocolate printers and food printers. Most of them cost an arm and a leg, so if you’re just a typical foodie with a sweet tooth, then the Candy Craft Pen is a worthwhile alternative.

Instead of ink, the pen uses chocolate, so you can “draw” all sorts of sweet and delicious creations and eat ‘em all afterwards.

The Candy Craft Pen will be released this fall and will retail for $30.

As a kid, you were probably told not to play with your food. However, anything that’s got these edible stick-on eyes stuck on them is an exception. These eyes not only liven up food, but makes them entertaining (perhaps to the point of being appetizing?) They’re suitable for sticking on fruits and veggies and other stuff kids are not too keen to chew on.

Getting a greeting card from a friend is awesome. Getting to eat it afterward is awesomer. You won’t be able to chew on that card unless it’s made by Eat The Fine Print though, or you’ll probably get a bad case of indigestion. The company specializes in making edible greeting cards that almost taste as good as the message written in it…almost.

The cards come in four flavors: blueberry, orange sorbet, key lime, and strawberry. In case you were wondering about dietary requirements, the cards are vegan, gluten-free, soy-free, and dairy-free, and they won’t ruin your diet since they only contain 42 calories.

A box of chocolates is still the better option, but edible cards are way better than inedible ones. If not for the actual taste, then for the novelty. The cards are available for $9 each.

Scented greeting cards, cards that play a tune when they’re opened, cards with designs that light up… card makers have been upping up the ante season after season, Eat the Fine Print included. But this cardmaker has made something no other company has done yet (as far as we know, anyway): edible greeting cards.

So most people will probably only take a bite or two out of the card out of sheer curiosity, but you’ll be glad to know that each one is gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free, and vegan. The next time you spend all night binge-watching a series on Netflix, try this amazing snack bowl. You don’t even have to put it away when you are done. Just eat it.

If you want to make this edible popcorn bowl for yourself just follow the instructions provided by Beth Jackson Klosterboer. She is the one responsible for making this popcorn bowl that is made of popcorn. So how did she make sure that the bowl held together? Beth used white chocolate candy melts as glue, lining the bowl with a mixture of candy melts and popcorn, then she refrigerated it.

If you are not yet hungry, this will do the trick. Beth filled hers with a recipe of peanut butter Twix bites popcorn. Yeah, now I’m hungry. Thanks Beth.

Well… maybe not. We were about to pass on writing about these Edible Bugs in a can, because really… edible bugs? But then we saw that they’re more than just bugs: they’re flavored bugs in a can. Aside from the Bacon and Cheese Grasshoppers, you can expect to enjoy BBQ Bamboo Worms (Omphisa fuscidentalis), Nori Seaweed Armor Tail Scorpions (Mesobuthus martensii), Salted Queen Weaver Ants (Oecophylla), Sour Cream & Onion Dung Beetles (Circellium bacchus), Wasabi House Crickets (Gryllidae), Giant Waterbug Chili Paste (Nepidae)…

Sour Cream & Onion Dung Beetles? Yeah, you read that right. We’re not sure who these are really for. The really adventurous? The slightly insane? Or maybe someone preparing a feast for Halloween… Whatever the case, if you’re got a hankering for the creepy crawlies, it’ll cost you $40 for a box of 7 cans. The product comes from Thailand, and the “manufacturing facility is registered with Thai FDA (Food & Drug Administration) and the US FDA and has passed GMP (Good Food manufacturing). All individual food products are tested and registered with FDA.” We imagine this means they’ve gotten the green light for consumption stateside.

Iron Man 3 will be hitting theaters in less than two weeks’ time and the hype is on hyperdrive. Aside from the endless barrage of trailers and promotions on the big screen as well as on the silver screen, a handful of themed toys have already been released on the market. Even stuff that you never thought would get made are getting made, like Iron Man 3 instant noodles.

It doesn’t come with a suit or any fire power, but it will give you that boost of energy your normally get after eating a particularly hearty meal.

“Appearing in limited packages “RED CHILI NOODLE” was adopted design of the movie “Iron Man 3″ from “KING CUP Sapporo Ichiban” King prime vertical cup noodles of about 1.9 times regular size volume ratio.

Ingredients: good combination color cabbage, minced meat, star fish paste, red bell pepper.”

It’s being manufactured by Sanyo Foods Japan and will be hitting store shelves in Japan on April 22nd.

Edible Eco-Spoon Lets You Help Mother Nature Out, One Bite At a Time

Whether you’re eating breakfast on the go because you woke up late or are having takeout for lunch, the common factor between both (and with most other meals that you eat outside a proper dining area) is plastic utensils. They might not seem like much since they’re relatively small and all, but a little goes a long way. And since it takes more than twenty years to fully decompose, I’d say we’ve got more than enough of these spoons currently sitting in our landfills.

So Triangle Tree came up with a solution in the form of edible spoons called the Eco-Spoon.

The Eco-Spoon is basically a spoon-shaped chip made from corn and other all-organic ingredients, to it’s 100% biodegradable and 100% edible. It comes in two varieties: plain, if you don’t want it to affect the taste of your grub; and sweet and spicy, if you want to complement your food with some sweet and spicy flavors.

Edible Sugar Glasses: Drink up, Then Eat up

Candy glass isn’t something new, but these ones made out of sugar are supposed to complement the drinks that you are consuming, and are certainly more artful than the ones I’ve seen before.

These edible sugar glasses were created by Mexican designer Fernando Laposse. They were roto-molded, and inspired by Murano glass. Just like candy glass props, you can break away part of it while you drink. When you swirl your drink around the glass, sugar starts to infuse into it, which is good for certain cocktails and mixes. They’re definitely something I could see being used in bars and clubs.

The design was refined from an initial lollipop model to a final model that was completely made up of sugar. They are part of The Food Project: The Taste of Shape exhibition at Italy’s MaRT, which runs through June 2, 2013.

Edible Anatomical Love: Valentine’s Day Cards You Can Lick and Eat

Give your significant other a card that’s unlike any other this Valentine’s: cards created by Emily Evans and Miss Cakehea that feature an anatomical heart in between two skulls that you can actually eat. The design is a far cry from the usual cheesy and heart-filled cards you normally find on the racks, what with the skulls and all. But you’ll agree that it’s a pretty sweet card, albeit unusual, once you take notice of the words on the banner being held up by the doves: ‘Amor Eterno’, which translates to ‘eternal love.’

The other thing that makes these cards so unusual is the fact that they’re edible. Each card is made from vegetable oil, water and potato starch, and while it might not be the tastiest Valentine treat you’ve ever had, it’s probably the quirkiest.
