This spaceship-inspired reverse humidifier is a design every space enthusiast really needs!

If you have ever wandered through Muji playing with the beautiful vapor that escapes from its minimal humidifiers, you know this design is a keeper! Meet the HUM! – a reverse humidifier that actually puts all that vapor to good use. The interesting visual scenario of the spaceship with the vapor is a mesmerizing scenario I cannot stop watching!

Humidifiers by default are a must-have in our homes, and given the core functionality of the design, we rarely see more than a rectangular box. The usual upward humidifying activity gets inverted here, with the vapor escaping through a perforated bottom. Form follows function, but HUM! is the perfect example of how form amplifies engagement! As an added cool feature, the intensity of humidification increases when you lift the spaceship body, reinforcing the visual of a rocket taking off into space.

The body of the humidifier holds the water in the body of the rocket, with a light inside it that keeps your gadget lit up when in use. The transparent body also showcases the water levels so you know when your rocket may run out of steam.

This clay humidifier, filter, lamp and planter is inspired from sustainable Brazilian traditions!

Clay filters are common in Brazilian homes and designer Lucas Couto brings the best of them to more household appliances. Clay is an organic and natural material used by many developing nations because it is cost-effective, versatile, and easily available. Terracotta earthenware in the kitchen is an ingenious practice that is finding its way back into our modern lives and Couto extends the benefits of this material to lamps, filters, and humidifiers.

“I intended to respect the heritage, avoiding an approach to simply “modernize” the filter. I wanted to create a unique form factor that takes advantage of the materials and manufacturing process while introducing new functional features, such as a handle to assist in lifting the upper reservoir and a base to support a drinking glass,” he adds, “The cooling property of the ceramic inspired me to design a humidifier. This is a much-needed item in my hometown of Belo Horizonte, where the air can get very dry throughout the year.” Clay filters are actually proven to eliminate toxins from water through its existing properties while also keeping it cool according to research published in the book The Drinking Water Book: How to Eliminate Harmful Toxins from Your Water. The efficient filtration is a result of the gravity process, where water passes through the candles and drips slowly into the lower reservoir.

Couto wanted to create a multi-sensorial experience fostered by the terracotta. He retained the color, the textures, and the gradient caused by water absorption for visuals and touch. The water drops inside the filter and the vitrified sound of the material produce a soothing sound. Terracotta naturally smells like earth after rain and it also adds a unique flavor to water. The cooling property of the ceramic is why Couto made the humidifier too. All components are placed in the lid, which also contains a level indicator to assist the user with keeping the humidifier filled. The lamp and the planter were additions to the series to showcase the material in various forms outside the kitchen use. The planter has a two-compartment design to take advantage of capillarity for petrichor! The inner part of the pendant lamp is covered with a white glaze to increase light reflection while the terracotta prevents it from overheating. The clay range is organic, warm, functional, and aesthetic!

This adorable humidifier + figurine clears up congestion while sparking joy!

Even living in Southern California, the winter season gets cold enough that my nose gets congested. This means I lie awake at night, trying to train myself to breathe through my mouth since my nose is too stuffed to take in air. Every season, I think about how I should buy a humidifier for my room since the congestion is such an inconvenience. Yet, I don’t. Instead, I will microwave a cup of water and hold it under my nose while watching Netflix.

Since I move frequently, I try not to purchase bulky appliances that I will either have to lug around with me or leave behind. A humidifier would not be the largest item I could own, but it would take up a fair amount of space. For this reason, if I were to purchase one, I would prefer one that was as small as possible … something like the V-CUUB mini humidifier.

Of course, the main draw for this product is not its practical usage. The V-CUUB mini humidifier is downright adorable. If I saw this online or in a store, I probably wouldn’t have realized its real purpose until after I bought it. Figurines like this one can simply exist to spark joy, and that would be enough. By happenstance, the V-CUUB suits my needs more than other humidifier products: it’s small, making it incredibly easy to store in my apartment, and would be something I could take with me on moves.

An air purifier, cooler, humidifier and fan come together to create this all-season device your interior needs!

The year 2020 is one that history will remember – the coronavirus pandemic has changed life in more ways than one and staying indoors to be safe is one of them. While one would believe that the air outside is more polluted than indoors, at times it can be the exact opposite. According to experts, indoor air pollution is considered a leading cause of diseases ranging from eye and throat infection to severe respiratory illnesses. Keeping this in mind, the Quilo Aviance – an all-season 4-in-1 Air Climatizer – with a purifier, cooler, humidifier, and fan built-into one trendy appliance is worth every bit of your attention to ensure you’re breathing in clean air at all times.

To be doubly sure of the indoor environment, generally, one has to purchase separate devices to purify, cool, and humidify the air. With this 4-in-1 tower touting triple-stage HEPA air purification with UV-C light, evaporator air cooler, humidifier, and fan, you don’t need to stretch beyond a single appliance. Measuring pretty compact at 39.6 x 14.4 x 14.4-inches, the Quilo Aviance 4-in-1 Air Climatizer is a significant upgrade from Quilo 3-in-1 introduced by the company in 2017 – it offers more robust cooling, powerful air circulation, and humidification with 300 sq ft room coverage.

Quilo Aviance aesthetic’s are eye-pleasing and will fit well with your interiors. It is designed to save space, money, and the heavy lifting and carrying you have to do with the traditional coolers and air purifiers. The all-season appliance saves you the hassle of maintaining four separate devices and when you need to take the cooling and purifying to a different area indoors, the Aviance can be just rolled over on its wheel-base. Push it over to the drawing-room, toggle between three adjustable fan speeds and create the desired airflow, or install it in the bedroom and adjust the sleep mode for additional comfort.

How does it do this? Using Quilo Aviance’s proprietary invention (certified with a U.S. Innovation Patent) the team invented the world’s first Interchangeable Filter Cartridges for air purification, cooling, and humidification. The built-in sensors help Quilo’s Smart Auto-Mode automatically identify which cartridge is being used and activate the relevant functions relating to the mode. Snap-in the HEPA filter and the Aviance is your triple-stage air purifier working with a layer of activated carbon and UV-C sanitizing light to let your family breathe fresh, clean air. The filters can capture particles as minute as 0.3 microns, which covers almost 99.97% of allergen-causing particles. During the summer heat, the purification filters can be swapped with the cooling cartridge. Add up to 4.8 gallons of water in the Aviance’s tank and you’re set for a refreshingly cool breeze without any harmful chemicals polluting the air. In fact, Quilo Aviance can cool your room by 15°F! For faster and more effective cooling on peak summer days, add ice in the dedicated compartment and comfort yourself in cool temperatures. Honeycomb cooling cartridge can let you achieve room humidity of up to 40-50% RH, and in the fan mode, the tower can deliver natural air ventilation.

According to Quilo, after 3 years of hard work, the Aviance prototype is finalized and it’s ready for production – so it will be up for grabs soon. The appliance is a sleek, dandy, and innovative air purifier that vouches to clean the household air freeing it from pollen, pet dander, molds, or suspended particulate with its triple-stage HEPA purification system. After all, we all deserve to breathe in clean air indoors too – keeping ourselves and loved ones safe!

Aviance helps to:

– Combat seasonal allergens, such as dust, pollen, pet odor and tobacco smoke
– Neutralize smoke and odors
– Trap dust before it has the time to settle
– Soothes respiratory irritation due to dry and polluted air
– Remove outside fumes and pollutants e.g. diesel exhaust particles
– Reduce carbon dioxide levels
– Reduce VOCs

The UV-C sanitizing light works in all modes and provides an added layer of purification.

Cool Air in Hot Summer Months

Aviance’s evaporative cooling technology reduces the temperature of incoming hot dry air by up to 15°F.

Get faster and more effective cooling on extra hot days with dedicated ice compartment.

Amazon’s 3-in-1 humidifier doubles up as an aroma diffuser and a night-lamp

No, it isn’t Harman Kardon’s latest speaker or a fancy upgrade of the Amazon Echo. This is, in fact, the Amazon Basics Humidifier which also comes with a built-in fragrance diffuser, as well an ambient lamp at night.

I’m not entirely sure whether the resemblance to the Harman Kardon Aura Studio is intentional or not, but it definitely gives the Amazon Humidifier a certain visual appeal. The humidifier is powered by ultrasonic tech that helps create a uniformly distributed mist of vapor in the air. An auto-sensing mechanism allows it to switch on when the air gets exceptionally dry, and turn off after a while. Available in 2 sizes (2L and 4L), the humidifier even integrates an oil-diffuser tray, allowing you to put a few drops of your favorite essential oil in and having the fragrance waft into the air around you, and comes with a built-in night-light that emits an ambient blue glow. Besides, you could easily just hide an Echo Dot behind it and pretend you’ve got yourself a fully pimped-out Harman Kardon setup… I promise I won’t judge.

This smart humidifier merges ultrasound and evaporative technology to keep you safe at home

Evapolar is known for making the award-winning product evaCHILL, a portable planet-friendly air conditioner that was a prelude to their next potentially award-winning design – the evaWAVE! We get excited when we see Vitaliy Tarasov collaborate with Evapolar because it results in innovative product designs that elevate the breathing experience and do not harm our environment as opposed to traditional air conditioners, purifiers, or coolers.

The evaWAVE is the world’s most advanced evaporative humidifier and aroma diffuser. Why? Because it combines the powerful functionality of ultrasonic humidifiers with the health benefits of evaporative humidifiers into one smart appliance that also serves as an aroma diffuser. Ultrasonic humidifiers are high-performing but tend to leave pools and white dust around. Evaporative humidifiers on the other hand provide natural humidification but their organic evaporative pads allow bacteria to flourish which becomes super unhealthy for the air you breathe. The aim was to create an appliance that perfectly combines the efficiency and technology of the two types of humidifiers into one product which is safer, cleaner, healthier, and visually appealing. It not only manages your home’s humidity to keep it at a healthy level but also doubles up as an aroma diffuser so the air smells as good as it is for your health. The form is compact, unobtrusive, and has smooth curves. The user interface is minimal and clean which can also be controlled using their integrated Evapolar mobile app for all smart home platforms. A subtle yet thoughtful detail is the LED light-up base that lets the user switch colors and function as a night lamp. It also includes features like aroma control, wake up mode, a built-in speaker, and an ionic silver + UV lamp.

The evaWAVE comes with Evapolar’s trademark breeze technology (EvaBreeze) which has proven to be a success in their other products. “Its effect is achieved due to a nanostructure that enables outstanding absorbing capacity, combining both hydrophilic and hydrophobic effects. This allows the material to efficiently absorb water and easily take it into the air. There is great evaporation from a small surface. EvaBreeze is totally safe and is approved by international certificates,” says the design and development team about what makes evaWAVE a safer choice for your environment.

This humidifier-heater appliance will keep you healthy and warm all year round

We have all been here – you are sick, you have chills so you turn up the heat but that makes your room dry, meanwhile, your tea gets cold and you are too tired to go heat it up for the fourth time. And if you are anything like me you have probably tried to warm your tea in front of the heater but obviously failed. That is exactly when we need a product like Heattle – a heater and humidifier in one that uses the simple mechanism of a kettle. Now you see why the reheating-my-tea part was important?

Heaters usually make the air in any room dry and arid which can cause dry eyes, sore throat, and colds – not the best when you are sick, getting chills and all you want to do is feel the warmth. Heattle creates a balance by maintaining the humidity in the air at a recommended 40-60% which is healthier for you and also keeps the room warm for a longer period of time thus saving energy (we all know how the electric bill shoots up in winter)! The inspiration for its form was the visual of a warm kettle on a cold winter day and Heattle manages to radiate that exact emotion through its design. It not only heats the room but also creates an emotional connect to the product itself.

The three settings of Heattle are Warming, Heating, and Humidify. Warm keeps your room warm without the hot wind. Heating adopts a high-efficiency PTC ceramic wire which lets it heat much faster without any pre-heating time. It also reduces the dryness because it heats the cold air without burning oxygen. Humidify provides heated humidification without any bacterial concerns. The dial on the top of Heattle lets you set the temperature and pick your desired setting. The most intuitive and homely part of this design is the kettle water storage for the humidifier, it makes refilling and changing the water convenient and I am curious to know if I can just use it for tea too!

This 4-in-1 smart home appliance is the only butler you need

Quarantine has really shown me that I could never be a butler should I ever plan to switch careers, in fact, I could use a butler to manage all the chores as I work from home. This is the part where I fall in love with Mr. Alfred – no, not Batman’s butler but a smart home appliance that serves as a humidifier, dehumidifier, air purifier, and vacuum. I think this confirms that all men are truly not the same!

Mr. Alfred is a conceptual smart air-management system that looks like an elegant bar cart – the gold rails add a retro finish while the muted grey body gives it rich yet subtle aesthetic. Instead of having four home appliances, you can just have one that does it all while saving space and upgrading your interior game. Mr. Alfred is designed to provide solutions for healthy air in your space by sensing the quality. It is precise and targeted at keeping your space clean. The sleek appliance is made of six important parts – the main body which is responsible to store and charge the detachable parts, a drone that monitors the space, a robot vacuum, an air purifier, humidifier, and dehumidifier. Fun fact: the three air-management parts rest on the robot vacuum that makes them portable.

The rails of the main body help with putting the air-purifier, humidifier, and dehumidifier on the robot vacuum when being used. After the job is done, all parts return to the main body to be stored and recharged. Mr. Alfred also includes a cleaning tool kit with brushes and sprays. The physical form of a trolley was used to match the image of a butler. The wheels make it easy to move around the house and the minimal style lets it become a beautiful furniture piece when not in use. Mr. Alfred has been an iconic butler forever and now it lives in the form of this smart concept design…now only if it also had a feature to shine a symbol in the sky.

Godzilla Humidifier Improves Your Air with Monster Breath

Whether you have the heat cranked up during cold weather, or live in the desert or mountains, extremely dry air can be quite hard on your system. The best thing you can do besides gulping down buckets of water is to get yourself a good humidifier. And if you’re going to have to put a humidifier on your shelf or tabletop, it might as well look like Godzilla.

The King of the Humidifiers offers up a delightful mist to help improve moisture, and does it with style. Turn Godzilla on, and his theme music plays. His mouth also lights up to create a heat ray effect, which I assumed to be a cold ray since it’s blue. The desktop Kaiju will also alert you when his water tank is empty by making footstep sounds. Check him out in action in the video below:

All this Godzilla humidifying goodness can be yours for about $78 over on Amazon. I was able to find the same thing over on Ehobby Taiwan for just $1,899 Taiwan dollars, or about 62 bucks, though you’ll have to learn to speak Chinese if you want to buy one there.

Inspired by a tree branch, this humidifier doubles up as a mood lamp!

Gif

In our daily modern lives, it is very easy to find ourselves prone to stress and anxiety. And the original stress reliever of yesteryears has always been nature. In an attempt to make our everyday lives a little calmer, product designers Seungkyun Kim and Jaegon Yoo designed Branche.

Branche is a humidifier and a mood lamp, all in one! Branche takes its inspiration from nature and is, in fact, a beautiful reinterpretation of it. Branche, as its name suggests, looks exactly like the branch of the tree, with a little accompanying leaf. The branch-like portion of Branche, functions as the humidifier, with steam billowing from the top. Whereas the bottom half which holds the water, also contains the mood lamp. The mood lamp and the humidifier combined give the impression of a branch floating in the water. The lamp emanates a soft glow, calming one instantly.

You can place Branche on your work desk or in your room, and instantly experience the sensation of being close to nature. It humidifies and lights up any space it is placed in, while also retaining a subtle connection to nature! Available in neutral colors of black and white, both versions represent the different faces of nature; the icy wintery one, as well as the duskier autumn one.
