The Cookie Monster Rug: Blue Skin Rug
I’m not sure what Cookie Monster did to deserve being skinned alive, but I’m guessing that he stole some chocolate chip cookies from these kids – and they were having none of that. Seriously, though, this Cookie Monster shag rug that turned up over on Instructables is awesome.
It was designed by contributor Mikeasaurus (who I think should change his middle name to “Rex”), and despite its sheer awesomeness, is very simple – it’s just a layer of blue shag costume fur, with a couple of balls of yarn with buttons attached for eyeballs. He also made some chocolate chip cookie pillows to go along with it.
Head on over to Instructables now for the full construction guide. This makes me want a roomful of Muppet fur rugs.

LEGO Statler and Waldorf: Grumpy Old Bricks
It’s not everyday we see LEGO builds that feature Muppets, and it’s rarer still to see a LEGO build that features two of the best Muppets, Statler and Waldorf. You know, those old guys who are never happy and always heckling from the balcony.
LEGO builder grubaluk created this awesome diorama. The details are all spot on and these old coots look pretty great in LEGO form. Though they look a bit like they belong in South Park, don’t they?
Eh. I’ve seen better! Why don’t you go to bingo night you old codgers? I could do better with Duplo blocks! I’m just giving them some of their own grumpiness.

Muppets Eyeglasses Holders
Let the Muppets hold your glasses! These handmade crocheted Muppet heads are a great place to put your glasses down so you won’t lose them, knock them off the table, or scratch up your furniture. Would work great for sunglasses too, and of course you could make any character you wanted, not just Muppets (although Muppets are kinda the best, right?) There’s a full on stitch by stitch tutorial over on craftster, so if things like “sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc around” mean something to you, then go make your own.
