Death Star Popcorn Maker: The Dark Side Has Snacks

If Darth Vader was into crunchy snacks with hulls that get stuck between his teeth, you better believe that he would use this awesome popcorn maker. When you aren’t using it, the bowl clamps over the top to complete a cool and shiny Death Star sculpture sitting on your counter.

When you want to use it, you take off that cover and use it to catch the popped corn that comes out. Plus, it’s a hot air popcorn maker, so no oil is needed to make the corn making it more healthy. It can hold 1/2 cup of kernels and makes 8 cups of popped corn.

All you need is a lightsaber butter melter to complete the kit. The Death Star popcorn machine is available from Amazon.

Taco Bell Cheetos Quesadillas Proves it is Easy Being Cheesy

I figure at some point we have all known that one person who likes to put their chips directly on their sandwich. My wife does that, and the upside is it keeps her hands out of the bag during lunch.Philippines locations of Taco Bell have a new food that puts a cheap Mexican food twist on the ole chips-on-a-sandwich meal.

cheetos-tacobell-1

The new snack is called the Cheetos Quesadilla and it is exclusive to the country. It’s a tortilla packed with melted cheese with the messy and cheesy snack crisps thrown inside to boot. As you can tell in the tweet below, the real thing isn’t quite as appetizing as the styled photos for the ads, but it still looks good to me.

All we get here in the States is a burrito with Fritos tossed inside. Supposedly if you ask for this specifically at Taco Bells in the Philippines, they will give you one for free.

LEGO McDonald’s French Fry Vending Machine: I’m Lovin’ It!

There are desk toys and then there are desk toys. Put this McDonald’s French Fry vending machine on your desk and you will always have fries. This awesome LEGO machine dispenses fries along with a packet of ketchup.

This fun vending machine is yet another awesome Mindstorms-powered creation from Astonishing Studios. Just put in a dollar in quarters for each serving. It would be awesome to have this in the office with you so you can charge your coworkers for their snacks.

I’m kind of surprised that McDonald’s hasn’t figured out a way to create their own fry vending machines that serves fresh hot fries and puts them everywhere. Get on that McDonald’s, unless you want us all to build our own. Of course these are cold and probably not very fresh.

Sriracha Bacon Jerky Is The Jerky Of The Gods

sriracha-bacon-jerky

It’s no secret we love bacon. We could even say we’re “in love” with bacon. You can easily see for yourselves. We also have a soft spot for Sriracha, as you can see here. So when we heard that Savage Jerky guys had made some Bacon Sriracha Jerky, we were at a loss for words. What more can a poor blogger want to snack on than this delicious sounding concoction? At $8 for a 2oz bag, it’s not exactly cheap. But do we really care? Bacon Sriracha Jerky? Come on!

TARDIS Snack Cabinet, It’s Tastier on the Inside

Craftster forum user BadWolf314 of Boise, ID is a Whovian and when her husband wanted his own soda machine for their home, she was more than happy to oblige in the form of a TARDIS so that it matched their movie room. The end result is a TARDIS snack cabinet. A place for Jammie Dodgers as well as fish fingers and custard.

The body is mostly plywood and MDF. Puck lights were used to light the interior. It stands at about 5’6″ tall. And even though it isn’t your standard soda machine, there is a small refrigerator and a microwave in there, so it should serve all of their snacking needs – especially on movie night.

As long as it doesn’t de-materialize anyway. I hope they have some bananas in there for the 9th Doctor.

Japan Crate Ships Weird Japanese Snacks to your Door

We all know that Japan is a mecca for weird food. They eat all sorts of things over there that are very strange by American standards. If you ever wanted to get your hands on some of the strange snacks sold in Japan, but can’t find any here is your chance.

japan_crate_1zoom in

A service called Japan Crate will ship you snacks each month with a wide assortment of weird eats inside. The snacks include candy, chips, and drinks. The downside is that apparently some of the stuff tossed into one example box just looked Japanese; for instance one of the energy drinks was made in the U.S. It also seems that at least some of the items are fish flavored; I’m not a big fan of fish myself. Of course, each month, there’s a new box so chances are you won’t get the same stuff.

The premium month-to-month plan will set you back $30 a month, and its box includes two pounds of goodies. If you want fewer goodies and a cheaper monthly bill, a half pound plan is just $12 monthly, and the one pound plan goes for $25 per month.

Cruel Joke: Sinister Ghost Pepper Gummy Bears

Ghost Pepper Gummy Bears

Some practical jokes are funny, while others are just plain mean. These Evil Hot Gummi Bears are somewhere in the middle, although it mostly depends on who you’re pranking and how they take it as well. They look like typical gummy bears, save for the fact that they’re flavored with Naga chili peppers that’ll burn your tongue and set your insides on fire.

Hand them off to unsuspecting victims or chew a couple ones yourself if you’re up to the challenge. The Evil Hot Gummi Bears are available online for £5.99 (about $10.)

Must Try: Kono Serves Up Pizza in a Cone

Pizza Cone

Pizza comes in many shapes, sizes, and flavors. Now you can enjoy your favorite snack-slash-meal fuss-free and minus the mess that comes when you use your hands with these cone pizzas thanks to Kono Pizza. The chain operates in 130 locations worldwide and offers pizza cones filled with typical pizza toppings like cheese, bacon, ham, and sausages, to not-so-typical fillings like Tiramisu with cream, biscuit, and coffee syrup.

Kono also claims that their pizza cones are healthier than your average slices, thanks to their thin crust, reduced grease, and “low-moisture cheese.” The first two we get, but we’re not so sure about the last one. Regardless, these pizza cones are worth trying, especially if you’ve got a Kono near you.
