Nintendo and Universal Studios Tease Super Nintendo World Theme Park
Late last year, I talked a bit about the Super Nintendo World theme park that’s coming to Universal Studios Japan in 2020. Lest we forget they’re building the park, Universal and Nintendo have released a new teaser video to give us an idea of what to expect once it opens.
If you ever wanted to travel through sewer pipes and pick up coins, this will be the theme park for you. Check it out:
Sure, the trailer has real people over what is clearly some green screen animation work, but it sure looks cool. The park won’t open until 2020 in Japan, with parks at Universal Studios Orlando and LA coming later. There is also word that the park in Japan will cost the companies about 50 billion yen, or about $450 million to build. For that price, it had better be awesome.

Universal’s Chocolate Factory & Savory Feast Emporium: Guess They Couldn’t Get the Wonka License
Growing up, the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory rather creeped me out. The little Oompah Loompas did it. The thought that eating the wrong gum could swell you into a blueberry didn’t help either. I did quite want the soft drinks that made you fly though.
Later this year, a new eatery is opening at Universal CityWalk in Orlando, Florida, and I know the Wonka factory when I see it.
The Chocolate Factory and Savory Feast Emporium will be a steampunk-inspired place with its serving staff in strange clothing. The menu will reportedly have unique twists on old favorites like steak, seafood, and pasta. Burgers will be served along with lots of other foods. A place with chocolate in its name clearly has big plan for desert.
The dessert I want most is Bacon Brittle shake with bacon ice cream, bacon brittle, chocolate covered bacon and bacon caramel. Just look at the picture of the shakes and tell me you don’t want one right now.
