I Think I’ll Pass: Zombie Booze Brewed With Actual Brains

As much as I love the Walking Dead and everything else inspired and associated with it, I’m not too keen on Dock Street Brewing’s Walker beer. It’s an American pale stout that was made in honor of the show’s season finale, and in keeping with the comic book-turned-television show’s theme, it’s brewed with smoked goat brains.

Dock Street Walker gets its blood red hue thanks to organic cranberries and not the brains, so that should set your mind at ease–even just a little bit. The beer is 7.2% alcohol by volume and will be released at Dock Street Brewing Co. on March 30. You might want to drop by if you happen to be in the area.

3D Printed Jumbo LEGO Minifigs: Children of the Corn Starch

LEGO opened Cuusoo to let fans pitch ideas for play sets. But if you have a 3D printer, you don’t have to wait and beg for a minifig of your favorite character. Just do what Michael “Skimbal” Curry did and make the minifigs yourself. Skimbal even made his minifigs four times larger than the official LEGO citizens.

Skimbal started with a blank jumbo minifig and went wild from there. Although he hasn’t shared new models for about a month now, he already has several popular characters ready for you to download.

See that headcrab zombie minifig? Half-life 3 is a better bet than an official LEGO version of that. Or maybe not. I may be underestimating Valve Time. Print a browser then head to Thingiverse to download Skimbal’s minifig 3D models.

The artwork on these cards is by the talented Charlie Adlard, who is currently the primary artist for Robert Kirkman’s highly-acclaimed The Walking Dead series.

The art might look familiar, but that’s probably because they’ve already been published in the comics or in the graphic novels that collect a set of issues of the series. My favorite one features the zombified versions of Rick, Michonne, and Andrea shown above.

This dead guy might not be walking but he’s definitely delicious. That makes no sense but neither does a world populated by flesh eating zombies. But still we watch. And now we eat. With an official Walking Dead silicone gelatin mold you can make a quivering walker’s head and then get a little payback and eat their head. Measures 9″ by 5″. It’s silicone so you can bake in it too but obviously Jello is way scarier. Obviously.
