1,000 Horsepower Triumph Rocket Motorcycle Gunning for Land Speed Record

It looks like a rocket, but this thing is actually a motorcycle. The British brand is hoping that this sleek looking bike will nab the motorcycle land speed record. The company last held the record back in 1970 and they want it back.

The standing world record is 376.363 mph. They aim to hit speeds of over 400 mph with this beast. This 25 foot-long motorcycle is powered by dual turbocharged Rocket III engines that have a total displacement of 2,970cc, and it produces upwards of 1,000 hp and 500 lb-ft. of torque. Pretty crazy right?

Other features include a carbon Kevlar monocoque chassis, aluminum swingarm suspension both front and rear, Ohlins TTX36 shocks, Goodyear Land Speed Special tires, and carbon disc brakes.

Rocky Rocket Spaceship Chair: Blast off Indoors

Rich kids get all the cool toys – like Circu’s Rocky Rocket spaceship chair. It is a rocket shaped chair that you can climb into and pretend that you are blasting off to get away from the rest of us peasants on Earth.

It has a red velvet interior as well as lighting and music systems that are controlled through a smartphone app. It’s also got hidden storage in the rockets and the steps leading up to the seating area. Sadly it doesn’t come with a butler to wait outside and serve you a juice box.

You have to be rich to know how much it costs, so we don’t know. I think we can safely say that it’s more than most of us can afford. Regardless, it’s still completely awesome.

Make Your Own Rocket Lamp and Blast Off

This amazing table lamp shows the power and majesty of a rocket taking off. You can’t buy it, but if you think it looks awesome, as I do, you can make one yourself.

If you want to try to DIY, you’ll need this model kit, a bunch of polypropylene pillow stuffing for the clouds, as well as the instructions outlined on Tinkerings. You won’t find another rocket lamp that looks like it is taking off, even though it is standing still.

Obviously, this thing takes up some space, especially vertically, so make sure you have a place to put it before you go ahead and make one for yourself. It looks frakkin’ amazing.
