Drinking My Coffee And Eating It Too!

Yes, that is the pleasure of sipping espresso out of the Cookie Cup! The edible cookie cup is made of a light pastry that is lined with sugar. So basically when you pour in your coffee shot, the sugar dissolves slowly so that you can enjoy your drink and then later eat up the cookie. Not only does the design allow you to snack on a tasty treat, it also looks into the eco aspect of no-dishwashing and suds issue. Very Clever!

Fast Food Chain Feeds Customers Edible Packaging

While most fast food chains have moved to recyclable packaging for their food to cut down on waste, here’s an even better idea. How about packaging that you actually eat?

edible food wrappers

While it’s not available as an actual product yet, the guys at brazilian fast food chain Bob’s burgers (no not that Bob’s Burgers) recently did a promotional stunt featuring edible wrappers (presumably made of rice paper) on their burgers. Apparently, the point of the campaign is to show that the food is so irresistable that consumers can’t be bothered to take the time to take off the wrappers.

Regardless of the genesis of the idea, I think it’s actually quite brilliant – other than the part about food safety of course. Isn’t one of the purposes of fast food wrappers is to keep your food from getting contaminated while in transit? This sort of defeats that purpose. I guess you could always put another wrapper over the edible wrapper…

Edible iPhone Case is Silly and Useless, But It Sure Looks Yummy

Edible iPhone Case

I’ve seen my fair share of silly, weird, and kooky iPhone cases. And while the edible Survival Senbei iPhone 5 case doesn’t look too different from other food-themed cases in the market, it’s certainly going to feel and taste different because it’s probably the only case out there that you can actually eat.

This case seems more of a novelty to me, because it doesn’t function very well as an actual case for your iPhone. In fact, the maker of these cases says that there’s a 9% chance that it’ll arrive broken and a 100% chance that it’ll shatter upon impact if you happen to drop your phone.

It’s priced at 3,818 Yen (about $48), which is pretty pricey for a non-case like the Survival Senbei.
