Play Arts Kai Crisis Core Zack Fair Action Figure: Soldier of Flashback
The hero of the awesome action RPG Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII is here to remind Cloud Strife action figures that they’re not as original as they think.
The Zack Fair action figure stands about 11″ tall and comes with the Buster Sword that he eventually handed down to his traumatized sidekick. The sword can be mounted on the figure’s back or held in some of the six included hands.
You can pre-order the OG spiky-haired big sword guy directly from Square Enix for $135 (USD).

Who Doesn’t Want to Eat Noodles with a Giant Sword Fork?
Look at this picture. Yes that is a giant Final Fantasy sword with a fork at the end. With it you can slay yourself some delicious noodley dinner.
Apparently, the only way you can get this 24″ long fork is by winning a contest in Japan. However, you can buy some Final Fantasy packaged Cup Noodles. These noodles are tasty and perfect for people who want to eat, but have little money. We’ve all lived off packaged ramen at some point. I just think having a giant sword fork would make the noodles taste better.
Granted, a fork this massive would take all the noodles out of the cup at once and that is just asking for a major lip burn. There appear to be 16 different special Final Fantasy Boss Collection Cup Noodle packages, and Japanese fans can pre-order them now. Pre-order noodles?

PS4 Slim Gets Final Fantasy XV Limited Edition
Limited edition consoles come and go through our lives in a never ending flow it seems. The latest to emerge is this Final Fantasy XV model of the new thinner and lighter Sony PS4.
It is called the “Luna” edition and it will launch alongside the game on November 29th in Japan. The priced is 40,000 yen, the same as the higher-capacity version of the slimline console. If that isn’t enough Sony news for you, you will be happy to hear that Sony also announced two new PS Vita colors, launching in Japan on December 1st.
There’s no word on whether any of these models will come to the US or anywhere else yet. Hopefully we will see them as well.

NES Retro Subway Maps: DC Metroid
Creative director Matthew Stevenson said that when they were kids, he and his brother were frustrated by the confusing maze that is Metroid. Recently the title’s pun with the DC Metro came to his mind, and with it his childhood frustration. That prompted him to make a map of the game using DC’s subway as a template. He had so much fun that he ended up making a total of six maps based on NES games.
Here’s the DC Metro/Metroid map:
This is the Moscow Transit System/Maniac Mansion map:
This is the Lisbon Subway/Dragon Warrior map:
Here’s the Tokyo Transit System/Zelda II map:
This is the New York Subway/Final Fantasy map:
And finally, the London Underground/The Legend of Zelda map:
The Zelda II and Maniac Mansion maps are my favorite. I know that the New York subway’s layout is a mess, but I’m still surprised at how badly that mashup turned out. Then again, it is better than the game’s actual map. You can order prints of the maps from Matthew’s RedBubble store for $10 to $28 (USD) depending on the size. He also sells the maps’ 300dpi JPEGs and full EPS vector files on his Etsy store for $5 each.

Final Fantasy Portal News App Junctioned with Triple Triad
Hold on to your Laguna card. First launched in Japan, Square Enix’s Final Fantasy news app Final Fantasy Portal is already available in English for Android devices. To convince you to read things like how awesome Final Fantasy XV will be when it launches after the apocalypse, the app comes with the legendary card mini-game Triple Triad.
First introduced in Final Fantasy VIII, Triple Triad has become such a hit that it was re-introduced in FF XIV as well as in fan-made variants online. The app’s take on the game will have both single and online head-to-head battles.
Stop Gwenting for a bit and download the Android app for free from the Google Play Store. I’m sure the iOS version will arrive soon.

Final Fantasy AC: Cloud Strife Comes with Fusion Swords
Final Fantasy fans get out your wallets. You will want to plunk down the $119.99 that ThinkGeek wants for this slick action figure. This is a 10.9″ tall figure of Cloud complete with his building slicing Fusion swords.
The action figure comes with a cloth cape that has wire inside so you can make look like it’s flowing while you play. The action figure includes three replacement hands and one arm.
This cool variant figure comes from the Play Arts Kai line, and is based on Cloud from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.
