This tiny inkless pen is made from a special metal alloy that can literally write forever

This pen is quite literally timeless… in the sense that it will write forever, that too without a single drop of ink.

The ForeverPen is a bit of a technological marvel that solves one of the most common problems in the world – needing to write but never find a pen around. Made from a unique silver composite, the ForeverPen writes without actually writing. Unlike a pen that leaves behind ink, or a pencil that leaves behind graphite, the ForeverPen’s unique material can oxidize surfaces, leaving behind a mark without really wearing out or running out. In theory (and even practically), it lasts forever, letting you draw/write/doodle anytime or anywhere, infinitely.

Designed as the ultimate EDC, ForeverPen comes in a ridiculously small avatar that can fit on your keychain or around your zip, it can be worn around your neck like a minimalist pendant, or even on your bracelet, giving you a writing instrument that’s always on you. Designed to be the most convenient piece of stationery every, ForeverPen is the one pen that’s always around and always ready to write and draw. Its nib comes crafted from a proprietary silver composite that can write smoothly like a pencil would, while never running out. The technology improves on a centuries-old drawing technique called silverpoint, a craft well renowned during the late Rennaisance and even used by Leonardo da Vinci himself. In its modern iteration, the material developed for the ForeverPen is much more hard-wearing – which means it can write anywhere and on anything.

The ForeverPen’s tip creates the effect a pencil would. When it touches the paper, it leaves behind trace metal particles that oxidize to create that black mark that’s similar to graphite being left behind on paper. It can write on a wide variety of surfaces, in any orientation (even upside down), and works underwater too. Moreover, unlike pens, it doesn’t ever need refilling… and like pencils, it never needs to be sharpened.

Measuring less than an inch in size, the ForeverPen is functionally an EDC item that can be carried on you everywhere. It comes machined to perfection, with the silver-composite tip being affixed into a more durable metal body. Based on your preference or aesthetic, you’ve got a choice between titanium, copper, and brass bodies, each of which lends a unique appearance to the ForeverPen. The bodies sport a hole that’s perfect to run a keyring through, letting you keep it with your keys, or even around your belt loop, zipper, backpack, or on your person. Aside from being able to write on any surface, the toughened silver-tip doubles up as a box opener too… so you’re never scrounging around for a pen when you get a brilliant idea or when your boss expects you to take notes on a Zoom call, or a box cutter when you need to open a parcel. You can grab the ForeverPen for yourself or someone special at a discounted price of $34. The pen should reach you as soon as August 2021, and should last you a lifetime and some more!

This Pen and Paper-clip hybrid is such a smart way of keeping your stationery and sheets together!

What if your pen was also a binder? Sounds like a weird question, but when you feast your eyes on The Clip-Pen, you’re bound to wonder why nobody thought of this yet! The Clip-Pen by Foxtail Gihawoo combines the traditional ballpoint pen with the even-more-traditional paper clip. The metal clip finds itself located on the pen-cap, where you’d normally see the cap’s pocket clip, creating a fusion that may seem weirdly clever at first, until weirdness wears right off and just feels like a good idea!

The Clip-Pen retains its original functionality (of being able to be clipped to a pocket), but is capable of much more. You could use it to keep your pen and papers together, or just use the cap to hold your sheets while the ballpoint pen sits in your pen-stand. Heck, you could even use it as a makeshift bookmark, or even stick googly eyes on it to make it look like Clippy has a ‘Pen Pal’! (Not my best joke, but then again, office humor isn’t my forté)

Just maybe don’t use it to pick locks, okay?

Victorinox’s Swiss-army multi tools fit right inside this credit card-shaped device!

Victorinox has long prided itself in creating some of the most useful and compact high-grade multitools the world has seen, but none match up to how compact their SwissCard Lite is. Shaped to look exactly like a credit card (it’s about as thick as one too), the SwissCard fits in any wallet, and comes with as many as 13 different tools all integrated into its slick profile.

The SwissCard Lite (named so because it also has a torch integrated into it) contains everything from grooming equipment to tailoring instruments to stationery and even multitools. It’s got its own ballpoint pen, pocket-knife, scissors, tweezers, straight-pin, magnifying glass, scale (with both metric and imperial units), LED torch, and as many as four different screwdriver-heads. All the elements sit within the SwissCard Lite’s nifty frosted-plastic casing, and can easily be carried in bags, wallets, even pockets, serving both indoors as well as the great outdoors. Just don’t carry it onto an airplane… the TSA won’t be too happy about that!

This simple ergonomic tool makes it easier for left-handed people to write without any smudging

Over 90% of the world is right-handed, and the way we write is strongly informed by that fact… but it makes it difficult for the people who use their left hand to write/draw with. The minute you write with your left hand, you risk smudging the text with your palm every single time. The FELEF caters to a relatively small group of people but solves a large problem for them.

Created as a simple extension of the pen’s cylindrical design, the Felef helps offset your writing instrument, maintaining a safe distance between your palm and your pen’s nib. By putting the palm below the nib rather than beside it, the FELEF makes sure your palm’s always resting against the blank paper, preventing any accidental smudges.

The FELEF works with any pen, simply fastening to it using a tightening screw. Its organic design offers a more comfortable gripping experience and the fact that it is ambidextrous means you can use it with your right hand too, especially if you find your hand cramping, or if you’re working with text that’s written from right to left!

This transparent pen design crystalizes tree branches to make empty pens memorable!

When it comes to stationery, it often seems that demand overshadows artistry. Noisy, plastic pouches lined with ten or more plastic pens fill the bags of shoppers who just need something to write. That’s why Geonwoo Kim conceptualized the IceN pen. Specifically for pen-users who tend towards plastic, wasteful writing tools, the IceN reimagines an ecological alternative. Before putting pen to paper, Kim took and studied photographs of tree branches frozen over with ice in order to conceptualize the pen’s design authentically and to send home his dedication to conservation. In many ways, this pen represents a marriage between environmental consciousness and the human pursuit for reusability. This design makes sense of human waste by returning to nature. This sentiment is emphasized with Kim’s remark, “I wanted to show that there is still beauty inside the empty, transparent pen.”

While the icy pen is still in its design stages, Geonwoo Kim plans on the manufactured product being made up of resin and ink. By meticulously constructing the pen in harmony with mother nature, the final design comprises a work of art that’ll be sure to take up prime real estate in either your home office or pencil case. Unlike other transparent pens, you won’t want to throw this one away. But of course, ink runs out. As this stationery design hasn’t reached its production stage, the question of refilling the pen lingers. One possibility, echoing nature’s inimitability, would be to 3D print refills, so that each resulting ‘branch’ inside the pen is unique. Lost wax molding, centering a hollowed out ‘branch’ in transparent resin to then fill in with ink, could be an efficient and successful choice as well. With a few possibilities considered, the prospective solution will likely reflect Kim’s environmental commitment.

The beginnings of Geonwoo Kim’s pen design literally symbolizes a root and branch undertaking. The final visual design, in both its complexity and simplicity, is a visually pronounced declaration of environmental awareness. Geonwoo Kim realizes the contemplative connection between the written word and the beauty of nature. The possibilities of merging design with the natural world, or, “man-made nature,” as Kim refers to it, are unveiled with IceN’s artful ode to mother Earth, bringing with it, winter’s textured and fallen branches, crystalized forever in ice.

This Montblanc-inspired motorcycle is the most luxurious crossover ever!

Here’s what I absolutely love about the design profession. The Montblanc Motorcycle is clearly a concept. I imagine the luxury stationery and timepiece company isn’t even interested in entering the automotive industry… but there’s always the potential for a crossover, and there’s always an indie designer who’s ready to realize that potential. Meet the Montblanc Motorcycle, a fan-made conceptual two-wheeler created by Huigyu Kim who felt that the pen and watch manufacturer’s design DNA definitely had a quality that could be easily carried into bike-design.

The Montblanc Motorcycle comes with the same, uber-luxurious design language seen in the company’s pens. I’m talking clean surfaces, gloss black paint-job with the judicious use of metallic accents. My favorite detail, however, has to be the bike’s headlamp, which directly borrows its design from Montblanc’s pen-caps and watch crowns. The lamp comes with a rounded conical glass cover under which sits Montblanc’s famous star-shaped logo. The edge of the headlamp sports a metallic rim too, with protrusions on the side that make way for the bike’s indicators… features that directly resemble the crown seen on Montblanc’s watches.

The bike comes in all black, with a relatively modern appeal. Chrome accents in just the right places make the bike stand out, while the black-on-black satin text on the bike’s fork-guards helps highlight the company’s branding without being too direct or obvious. The bike’s handlebars and dashboard possess the ability to rise up when the bike’s powered on, allowing you to easily steer… and they lower back into the bike’s body when it’s locked too, adding a second layer of security by preventing the handlebars from turning freely. Even the leg-rests autonomously fold inwards when not in use, and can fold out and slide forward or back based where you want them. Overall, credit where it’s due, the Montblanc Bike is an absolute masterpiece, looking just as slick and high-end as the rest of Montblanc’s products. The use of black and chrome, and the clever reinterpretation of the Montblanc insignia as a headlight feels incredibly clever, and if the company were to ever foray into transportation design, I suggest they should definitely use this fan-made concept as their template!

A sensor inside this smart pen turns all your handwritten notes into editable digital text

Imagine being able to write emails on a piece of paper.

The NEWYES SyncPen outwardly looks like a regular ballpoint pen, but it’s a marvel of tech on the inside. With a motion-tracking sensor on the inside, the pen turns everything you write into digital text, converting your hand-written notes and hand-drawn doodles and sketches into editable digital files.

Think of the SyncPen as an Apple Pencil or a Samsung Galaxy S-Pen that can also write on paper. Designed to look and feel like a regular pen, the SyncPen comes with an in-built micro-camera that captures what you write at a frequency of 200 frames per second, turning all your notes into digital text that can be stored infinitely, edited, and even searched through. The pen digitally records all your notes onto your smartphone, allowing you to seamlessly transition between digital and physical timekeeping. If you ever need to refer back to your notes for a certain piece of text, you can search for it either by word or date, much like within your phone’s own note-keeping app. The SyncPen’s functionality works across 66 languages and can even transcribe and translate mathematical symbols. The pen actively performs handwriting recognition, allowing you to write in your own personal writing style while the pen actively works to translate it on its own.

However, there’s more to the SyncPen. The pen itself comes with a detachable refill system that lets you replace the ballpoint nib for a capacitive tip, allowing you to use it on digital devices as a regular stylus too. When paired along with the NEWYES LCD Tablet, the SyncPen can take notes digitally too, allowing you to use it as you would an iPad and Apple Pencil. You can use the 10″ LCD Pad as a paperless alternative to a notebook, but moreover, the pad lets you take notes in different colors, while also allowing you to perform activities like directly send your notes as an email to others, collaborate with teams to share notes, and even record audio logs alongside your text.

Together, the SyncPen and its companion LCD Tablet (should you choose to use it) hope to revolutionize note-taking. The pen itself has the ability to digitally transcribe documents across multiple languages and handwriting styles… all in a form factor that’s as thin as a ballpoint pen itself. The SyncPen weighs a mere 20 grams, and works no matter how you hold it. It runs on Bluetooth 5.0, seamlessly sending written text to an app on your phone which can then convert your notes into a variety of formats, from a Microsoft Word document to a PDF or a JPG. Moreover, it means being able to take endless notes without worrying about losing your notebook or not being able to find a particular piece of information. The SyncPen lets you keep digital copies of all your notes and doodles, whether they’re minutes of a meeting, sketches of a product idea, a mindmap of a business model, or notes of a lecture. Oh, and the pen and LCD tablet come with a price tag of $99, which sounds pretty unbeatable to me!

SyncPen – 2nd Generation Smart Pen by NEWYES

The SyncPen fees like an ordinary pen and lets you take notes repeatedly on NEWYES LCD pad without wasting a single sheet of paper, then easily synchronize with your devices.

The SyncPen is your best choice if:

– You have trouble switching between writing traditional notes and electronic editable notes
– You struggle with converting hand-drawn design drafts into electronic drafts
– You find it difficult to find your notes and to organize them
– You are a huge fan of handwriting or the paperless concept

The SyncPen is not just a smart pen but an artificial intelligence writing system. There is a hidden micro camera inside the pen (with the lens recognition speed and ability to capture more than 200 frames per second) which is used for scanning the dot matrix coordinates of the notebook (or LCD pad) in real time, and completing the writing trajectory positioning and transmission to their app.

With their LCD pad and notebook set, you can easily synchronize everything you write (on paper, or on LCD pad) to their app at anytime and anywhere. You can even upload your content to the cloud to make sure all your notes accessible when needed.

360º Full Angle of Pen Holding Writing

This second edition NEWYES SyncPen is compatible with all pen holding habits. What’s more, with 1024 pressure levels, the pen allows you to sketch and draw perfectly and precisely. The writing experience is fluid, precise and easy.

Normally, for most smart pens, if you want to connect it with a device, you need to press on button for a few seconds which is inconvenient. With the latest NEWYES SyncPen, you don’t need to do anything but to remove the pen cap, which is exactly the same as what you do when using an ordinary pen.

You can take notes on their LCD pad without wasting a single sheet of paper. And when you finish your work, you just need to tip (“√”) and then delete the screen. You’re able to start a new page while your last page is now saved. All can be done even without a phone.

In the past, you could only change the color and thickness of the handwriting notes in the app. With this upgrade, the team has added a ribbon at the bottom of the LCD pad where you can change color and line thickness. Again, even without touching the app.

When you finish writing, touch the “email” icon. The page will be sent to preset email address. With all above, you can sketch, write, or draw on the LCD pad over and over again without wasting paper. Great for you, and even better for the environment.

You can add several voice memos to your notes by tapping the “play” and “pause” icons on the LCD pad and the voice will be linked to your notes automatically. It’s easy to delete any voice memos if you need to, and it works the same in the app. Start and pause the recording from the LCD pad.

It is not always necessary to keep your phone nearby when you’re writing, because the NEWYES SyncPen can store up to 800 pages of notes while offline. As soon as you connect with the app, the NEWYES SyncPen will transfer them to the NEWYES Note app immediately.
