Traeger WiFi grills monitor your wood pellet supply with an $80 sensor

When Traeger debuted its 2019 lineup of grills, one feature reserved for most expensive models is a sensor that will help you avoid "pellet panic." It's a tool that monitors the amount of pellets in the grill's hopper and alerts you when you're runni...

Traeger Ironwood 650 review: WiFi is the ultimate pitmaster

I'll admit it: I was skeptical that a WiFi-connected grill could really improve my casual culinary exploits. During my review of Traeger's Timberline 850 though, I would discover it's actually very useful -- especially for things that take several ho...

Traeger makes built-in WiFi a standard grill feature

In 2017, Traeger added WiFi connectivity to its line of wood pellet grills with the Timberline series. While being able to control and monitor your grill remotely is more handy than you might think, the privilege was limited to two models with a star...

Traeger Timberline 850 review: BBQ goes high tech

Good barbecue is a slow process. And I'm not talking about grilling. I'm talking about real BBQ -- the "low and slow" smoking of beef, chicken, pork and a whole host of other foods. Walk into any reputable barbecue restaurant and the pitmaster will t...

Playing With Fire

So to speak! Humo is the non-conformist ashtray from Studio Nocc that explores the artistic side of smoking. The blown glass ashtray holds in the smoke like a windowed cage, creating interesting shapes and movement as it swirls inside. Masculine and timeless, it’s a sophisticated addition to any cigar room, lounge or man cave!

A Smarter Stop Smoking Solution

Current e-cigarette designs leave it to the user to gradually reduce their own nicotine dosage until they’re prepared to quit entirely, but the notion that users who have trouble weaning in the first place will curb their own addiction is a dead-end road! The E-Volve system takes the user out of the equation. To smooth the process, the autonomous design fractionally reduces the nicotine output at a gradual level that is unnoticeable by the user. This also eliminates the need for complex capsule dosages and calculations, further reducing the effort it takes to quit.

R2-D2 Smoker Grill Makes R2 Hot Under the Dome

R2-D2 is one of the most beloved robots ever. Chances are that if you are reading this, you already own a piece of R2 merchandise or two. Some of you have tons of R2 items. But do you have a droid that can smoke meat? No? Why not? Looks how cool that is. You need one immediately.

“I didn’t think I could love this little droid any more, but then he started cooking meat in my backyard and now my love knows no bounds.” Okay, I made that quote up. That didn’t come from the guy who created this droid smoker. This quote did: “I always thought my smoker grill looked like an astromech droid so I went ahead and painted it like one. I call him R2-Meat2!”  While he’s not quite as detailed as this R2 unit, I think this version has more character.

You see, much like the sculptures of Michelangelo, the droid was there all along, he just need some paint to bring it out.
