Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure Vinyl LP: No Way! Way!

Way before The Matrix, Point Break, Speed, and John Wick, Keanu Reeves did the ’80s proud with Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure. I loved that movie, and true fans will be glad to get hands on a this collectible vinyl LP that has surfaced over at ThinkGeek.

In true ’80s fashion, the record is made from pink and blue vinyl. Keep in mind that this record isn’t filled with the rock and metal songs you might recall from the flick. This disc features the original score conducted by David Newman. That means it’s mostly the music that played in the background during the film. There are 22 tracks total and the record spans 37 minutes.

It may not include bands with names like Extreme, Shark Island, Big Pig, or Power Tool, but it still looks pretty awesome. Get yours for $24.99 at ThinkGeek.

This Turntable Converts Records into Digital Music Files

If you have a lot of vinyl records lying around that you wish you could listen to on your smartphone or speakers, now you can convert those oldies (but goodies) into digital music files. All you need is the ION Max LP Black conversion turntable.

To convert records to digital files, simply use the USB cable to connect the turntable to your computer. The included software will then walk you through the steps to get the process started. You can also use the 1/8″ auxiliary input to convert other sources, such as cassette tapes, into digital files as well. The software will automatically separate the tracks into individual files. The built-in stereo speakers also let you listen to those records on the spot.

That’s how easy it is to bring your analog tunes into the 21st century. Get the Conversion Turntable with Stereo Speakers for just $65.99 in the Technabob Shop, a 34% savings off of the original price.

HD vinyl is a promise, not a product

Günter Loibl thinks vinyl needs an update. Two years ago he filed a patent for a new way to make records, using lasers (rather than a traditional cutting lathe) to pack the grooves tighter and add 30 percent more usable space. Thanks to the lase...
