Nothing like a good post-Father's Day contest to get you fired up for the week, and this time we have a new iPad up for grabs. The offering is made possible by Rebtel, the largest independent VoIP provider. The service recently launched its own iPad-specific app, which will hook you up with calls and texts over WiFi and 3G. It's free to chat it up with other folks using Rebtel, while you can get ahold of everyone else at an inexpensive cost. As for other platforms, Android and Windows Phone clients are on the way later this year. As an added bonus, the service is also throwing in a credit of $100 to the winner (see rules for details). As always, head downward and leave a comment in order to win!

Now here's a giveaway we know you'll really like: an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S III (aka GT-I9300)! The Korean giant's latest flagship is the talk of the Android community right now, so of course you're going to want to make it your daily driver. Thanks to Bubble Motion, the developer behind Bubbly, you now have that chance. Bubbly is a "voice social network," which means you can create and share short voice updates with followers -- sort of like a Twitter for soundbytes. It's free to sign up, and it's available on Android and iOS. Intrigued? Head to the links below to grab the app! With this particular contest, there's just one additional rule: when you leave a comment, be sure to tell us what celebrity you'd most like to hear voice status updates from. Good luck!

Engadget Giveaway: win one of five Biscottis!

Engadget Giveaway win one of five Biscottis!

No, we're not talking about giving away free cookies -- though nobody could really complain about that. Actually, we have five Biscotti TV phones up for grabs. This attachment hooks up to your TV and gives you the chance to make VoIP video calls via your HDTV. The other party can see you as well, courtesy of the built-in HD webcam. They're valued at $150 each, so it makes for a nice birthday present (or a solid addition to your own home, if you're the selfish type). You know the drill: read the rules, leave a comment and you're entered to win. Good luck!

After a pair of audio-centric giveaways, you'd think we would be done with the genre for a while, right? Wrong! Today's offering isn't necessarily a pair of headphones or fancy speaker system, but rather the Pantech Element, a waterproof Android tablet that just so happens to be equipped with DTS digital audio decoder technology. What does this mean? DTS, a company that has been cranking out state-of-the-art audio for years, has integrated its sound into the Element to enhance your multimedia and gaming experience. We agree, it "sounds" like a great idea. Hop into the comments to enter, and good luck!

Engadget Giveaway: win an HTC One S, courtesy of Bell Canada

Engadget Giveaway win an HTC One S, courtesy of Bell Canada

The HTC One S has been making a splash across carriers in Canada, so it's only fitting that we ride the wave and give one away to a reader in the true north strong and free. The example we're giving out is Bell Canada's model, which mates the dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 and Android 4.0 with Bell-specific extras like Mobile TV. Should you live in the land of the red and white, fire off an entry according to the rules and you might just get HTC's super-skinny smartphone for yourself.

  • Leave a comment below. Any comment will do. Duplicate entries will be filtered out and discarded, so adding additional comments won't increase your likelihood of winning.
  • Contest is open to all residents of Canada (excluding Quebec), 18 or older! Sorry, we don't make this rule (we hate excluding anyone), so be mad at our lawyers and contest laws if you have to be mad.
  • Winners will be chosen randomly. One winner will receive one Bell Canada HTC One S.
  • If you are chosen, you will be notified by email. Winners must respond within three days of being contacted. If you do not respond within that period, another winner will be chosen.
  • This unit is purely for promotional giveaway. Bell Canada service will NOT be included. Also, HTC, Bell and Engadget are not held liable to honor warranties or customer service.
  • The full list of rules, in all its legalese glory, can be found here.
  • Entries can be submitted until June 3, 2012 at 11:59PM ET. Good luck!

Eurovision Song Contest 2012 streamed Live Online

I read somewhere that the Eurovision Song Contest is the most watched TV event right after the Super Bowl. The live webcast of the Eurovsion Song Contest 2012 has just started to broadcast live...

Caption Contest: Maker Faire’s morning pick-me-up

Caption Contest: Maker Faire's morning pick-me-up

Some mornings you just don't want to get out of bed. We've all got our own methods for starting the day, but few are quite so...electric...as this this one spotted at Maker Faire over the weekend. No doubt even Tesla himself couldn't have concocted a better way to shake oneself loose from a bad case of the Mondays.

Richard Lai: "Starbucks now brewing Electric Latte. Espresso with steamed milk and a dash of lightning, finished with a sprinkle of copper dust."
Darren Murph: "Jump Start kind of undersells things, no?"
Jon Fingas: "The best part of waking up is 10,000 volts in your cup."
Billy Steele: "The folks at Jolt Cola are not going to be happy about this."
Tim Stevens: "No, it's pronounced 'coffeen' not 'caffeine'!"
Terrence O'Brien: "Bobby's decision to learn Conjure Refreshment really started to pay dividends when his mage reached level 64"
Zach Honig: "Would you mind nuking this for me?"
Brian Heater: "Just another McDonald's lawsuit waiting to happen."
James Trew: "Electrici-Tea."
Dan Cooper: "Van De-Caff Generator."
