It seems Nokia is fulfilling its promise by releasing the Amber update for most of the Lumia devices worldwide. Earlier this week, it was reported that Nokia Lumia 920 on EE UK is receiving the Nokia Amber Update. Now, it seems that the GDR2/Nokia Amber update will hit Nokia Lumia 520 on Canadian carriers very soon.

Unlocked Nokia Lumia 1020 Now Shipping In The UK

The Nokia Lumia 1020 launched in the UK recently with a range of mobile carriers, and now UK retailer Clove has announced that they are shipping the unlocked version of the handset from today the 26th of September.

The unlocked Nokia Lumia 1020 is available for £588 including taxes, the handset is available in three colors, black, yellow and white.

Nokia Lumia 1020 Launched In India

Nokia has launched its latest Windows Phone smartphone in India, the Nokia Lumia 1020, the handset will be available in India on the 11th of October, Nokia have yet to announce the pricing for the handset.

The Nokia Lumia 1020 features a 4.5 inch WXGA AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels, there is also a dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.5GHz processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of built in storage.

Rumor: Nokia Plans to Unveil Six New Devices At October 22nd Event

Earlier today, Nokia posted a teaser for its Innovation Reinvented event, which specifies that the event is scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi. Up until now, the rumor mill suggested that Nokia will unveil Lumia 1520 and Nokia Windows RT tablet known as Lumia 2520 at the event next month. Now, a new rumor suggests that the Finnish OEM will launch six new devices at the October 22nd event.

Nokia Posts Another Teaser for 22nd October Event

Last week, the folks at Nokia posted a teaser on their Twitter timeline about the much-awaited October 22nd event, where the company is expected to unveil its first Windows Phone 8 phablet – Nokia Lumia 1520. Now, the Finnish OEM posted another teaser suggesting that the event will take place in Abu Dhabi, UAE on 22nd October – something which @evleaks suggested after the first teaser.

Another Nokia Lumia 929 Photo Leaked

On the weekend we saw a leaked photo of the new Nokia Lumia 929, and now we have another photo of the handset, this time showing the back of the device with the Verizon branding.

Rumor: Nokia Sirius Tablet To Launch Alongside Nokia Lumia 1520 Next Month

Earlier this month, an unofficial press render of the purported Nokia Windows RT tablet codenamed Sirius was leaked online. Later, the alleged tablet was also spotted on GFXBench and Bluetooth SIG. It was rumored that Nokia Sirius tablet will be announced in September expected to take place on September 26th, which was later postponed to October 22nd – thanks to @evleaks. Now, the prolific @evleaks suggests that we should expect the Sirius tablet at the same event.

Skype Drops Support for Windows Phone 7

If you are still stuck on Windows Phone 7, it’s time to move over to Windows Phone 8. There are some decent in Windows Phone 8 portfolio and it’s going to get better with time as the Finnish maker is expected to announce the purported Lumia 1520, which will bring support for quad-core processors and 1080p displays.

Let’s just get to the point; there is a bad news for Windows Phone 7 users, especially those who regularly use Skype. Microsoft announced that they are dropping support for Windows Phone 7 and will not release any update for the outdated operating system. The company announced that they are going to deploy there resources for making Windows Phone 8 a better experience and improve its performance.
