#TwitterHammer: An automatic hammer that works in unison with exclusive tweets!

Dattatreya Mandal:

Inspiring, novel artwork or a useless, conceited gimmick? Now, this question has been tormenting our minds since we came across the eccentric conception of #TwitterHammer. Touted as an interactive kinetic sculpture, the wall hanged hammer is directly synchronized with the social network -Twitter. So, when anyone posts online with a chosen keyword of #love, the hammer automatically beats the wall with its moving hand.

NES Guitar is made from recycled Classic Nintendo System

Dushyant Sood:

When two of the world’s greatest instruments meet, it makes an awesome creation. “NES Guitar” is a combination of two extreme worlds, one is gaming and the other is music. The NES Guitar is made from classic Nintendo Systems and there is a collection of them available on the site getlofi, where you can also buy (if not sold already) or order them.

An NES Guitar is a beautiful custom built electric guitar and is fully functional. Only one switch/knob proves the simplicity it holds and controls the clean vs distorted sounds. Original buttons of Nintendo turn on/off the fuzz circuit, pitches volume and tone.

Whole procedure to build the guitar is not enclosed but the elements used are wholly detailed. Foremost elements used are: a reused NES Case, reused typical guitar neck, Maple or Rosewood body within, a hard-tail bridge, output Jack and volume knob, buttons from the controller itself, adjustable height pickup. All the elements are placed very delicately, in a form to build beautiful custom guitars. Price of the guitar varies from $180 for humbucker model and $155 for a single-coil model.

A video here shows working of the NES Guitar, a famous song “Eye of the Tiger” is played and executed.

Mass Effect 2 Kestrel Armor covers whole body and looks tough

Dushyant Sood:

This armor designed by a gaming fan to cover the entire body seems completely inspired from Mass Effect 2. The Kestrel Armor created by a deviantART user Masterle247 is a cosplay which was intended to wear as a casual wear. Earlier we featured another Mass Effect 2 costume which was designed by Garrus Vakarian, appreciated by you guys a lot. This one is also very cool and beautifully detailed.

Masterle247 has created many other stunning costumes out of which this one is the best. He created it out of foam which was a junk from gym floor mats. The gun that comes with the armor is also made out of recycled foam and some spaces in the armor lit up because of LED’s. Every bit of the cosplay can be swapped in and out.

The armor is designed in such a manner that it reflects the original augment tech, biotic and weapons damage. We are waiting for more glamorous work from Masterle247 in the future as he has mentioned that he will be coming up with more stuff like this.

Lego Hindenburg: Scaled down model sports some impressive details

B.Sameer Kumar:

It is interesting how black and white images played over and over again can leave an impression on your mind that is ever-lasting. Maybe it is the influence television has on young minds. Maybe it is the impact of the image that you have just witnessed. But very few images of disasters have left bigger impression in our own minds than the flaming giant Zeppelin that rapidly fell to the ground. Even though we really did not know what it was, as young kids, it was an image we came across quite a few times and the ‘Hindenburg’ disaster has left quite a few distinct impressions in human history.

Believe it or Not, Tupac performs at Coachella music festival

Dushyant Sood:

Tupac Shakur died in 1996, still his memories remains intact in million peoples heart. Last weekend at the Coachella music festival a hologram made it possible for him to perform live with Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, although just a digital resurrection the hologram looked and performed like a real one. Some said it was not a hologram rather it was an optical illusion but whatever it was, everyone enjoyed the presentation.

The attempt to bring Tupac’s performance to the festival was a collaboration work of James Cameron’s Digital Domain, Dr. Dre’s production company, hologram-imaging companies like AV Concepts and U.K.-based Musion Systems. This is not the first holographic performance of a music artist on stage but it is no doubt, the best one. Some sources say that it would have costed $100,000 to over $400,000 to create the hologram but the original outlay is not out until now.

Before the show there were rumors that Tupac is going to show up and everybody thought of some illusion. But when the hologram was played it was difficult to believe Tupac was dead, as it looked like a real person. Coachella organizers granted Snoop Dogg with a blank check for such a grand entertainment show. At the end of the show, the hologram exploded into a light show.

In future many more holographic performances are expected to come on-stage, with many more exciting features. There are rumors that all the details of working of the hologram will be revealed soon.

Protective Parents: A baby stroller that ‘handles’ things a bit differently!

B.Sameer Kumar:

If you always wondered what being ‘over-protective’ is, then here is a picture that shouts out a thousand words. This mod of a baby stroller comes from Robbie Cooper, whose wife is two weeks away from giving birth to the couple’s first child. Being a protective parent from Texas, Robbie decided to take care of the protection issues in the traditional fashion by hooking up a couple of guns to the stroller instead of the handle bars. Not a bad addition, we might say and while this might be worth a good chuckle, it also reflects in a sense the way we are relaying on a perpetual arms race to keep ourselves safe.

Modder develops a table-top macro and microphotography system with Lego

Dattatreya Mandal:

Over the years, we have covered a myriad of Lego conceptions starting from being conscientious to being downright bizarre. However, this time we have come across one Lego fueled contrivance which is arguably more practically inclined than most of the fantastical ones. The DIY project undertaken by modder Rylee Isitt, entails the building of a full fledged table-top macro and microphotography system, with a completely modular scope.
