SprayPrinter Makes You Banksy in Your Own Mind
I can appreciate the skill involved in making art with spray cans. I’ve watched videos on YouTube before of people seemingly spraying random colors of paint onto a surface and ending up with something awesome. If you are like me and lack the skills needed to do anything artistic, check out the SprayPrinter.
It’s an attachment that you put onto a can of spray paint that activates the valve, spraying little dots of color onto the surface you are painting. Your smartphone sends the image data you want to create to the SprayPainter and tells the can when to spray to create the image.
The camera on the smartphone keeps track of where the can is. All the “artist” has to do is move the can back and forth and watch the dot-matrix style art take shape. Neat, huh?
The people behind SprayPainter hope to kick off an Indiegogo funding campaign next month. In the mean time, you can check out a video of the SprayPrinter in action over at designboom.

Bob Ross Live Stream on Twitch Is Your Daily Zen
Growing up in the ’80s meant I stayed home by myself a lot of the time. On occasion when my parents would be home late, they left me with my grandfather, who was confined to a wheelchair. That meant we didn’t really go anywhere, we just sort of hung out in the house. On most days I was there we would sit and watch Bob Ross paint. I loved that show and all the happy little trees.
The thing I remember most about that show was how easy Ross made painting look. The reality is painting is much more difficult than it looks. If you are a fan of Bob Ross or just want to see the coolest painting show ever made, hop over to Twitch now.
The Twitch Creative project is currently live streaming every episode of The Joy of Painting that Bob Ross made. The stream will wrap up on November 5th, so you still have a few days to watch. If you want to view them on your own time, every episode is now up on YouTube as well.
They are all cool and worth watching. Bob will teach you that a mistake is only a mistake until you turn it into a happy little bird.

Artist Transforms Parent’s House into a Monster
If you want to decorate your home for Halloween you can always fill the yard with creepy zombies and ghosts, along with some fog. But nothing makes a statement like turning your entire house into a giant monster.
This awesome monster house is the work of Los Angeles-based artist Christine McConnell. It looks like she did an amazing job. It’s actually her parent’s house and now it is perfect and ready for Halloween. She made the eyes and teeth with painted foam-core insulation board.
The coolest thing is that at night, the green glow of the outside lamps bring the monster house to life. You can check out more images on McConnell’s Flickr, Facebook, and Instagram. This is going to scare kids silly this Halloween.

Awesome Japanese Screen Painting Depicts Mario And Luigi As Gods
If you grew up during the era of the NES, you probably already see Mario and Luigi as Gods. The Mario Bros. are larger than life. They are legends. You might even say that they embody many of the attributes found in many mythological heroes.
Well, Japanese artist Taro Yamamoto is paying homage to these legendary Bros. by actually making them into Gods.
Taro created a traditional Japanese screen painting featuring the dynamic duo as Gods that video game geeks will want to worship. Mario is Raijin, god of thunder and storms, while Luigi is Fujin, god of wind. If you are wondering why they are missing their hats, these two deities get their power from their hair. I have to say, they look pretty cool.
If the video above wasn’t enough, you can see them in person since they will be on display in Kyoto this fall. I’d love to see a video game based on this screen painting, where they use their hair as weapons.
Mario Kart 8 Nursery: Baby Park
Wes of Geeksmithing would take a blue shell for his baby Grant. But since his son isn’t old enough to play yet, Wes brought Mario Kart 8 to Grant’s room.
Wes painted Grant’s room with characters and places from Mario Kart.
He also made a mobile that has Mario Kart Happy Meal toys dangling from it. Naturally, a Lakitu holds the mobile above Grant’s crib.
The highlight of the nursery is Mario, who’s hanging upside down on his kart. Wes made the sculpture out of foam and resin.
Check out Wes’ time-lapse video and his gallery below for more on how he made the nursery.
Awesome work Wes! May you and your family be eternally guarded by triple bananas. Check out Wes’ website for his Legend of Zelda and Yoshi’s Island nurseries.

Artist Draws Characters Based on Real Cats: WilyGirls & WilyBoys
DeviantArt member xuedaixun has a collection of digital paintings where she turned pictures of real cats – and a couple of dogs – into fictional characters, often wearing traditional Chinese robes and other accessories.
She also made one reverse transformation, turning a picture of a person into a painting of a cat.

Mech Action Figure Looks Like a Drawing Come to Life
The figure you see here is like a cross between something you would see dawn in a comic book and a robot ripped from the MechWarrior video game I grew up playing. At first glance, you might think that this is a black and white line art drawing, but it is actually a 3D toy with a fantastic paintjob.
The paint gives the mech depth and makes it look like it’s escaped the pages of a comic book. It was created by a an artist going by the name mumumuno53. The action figure itself isn’t custom, it’s from a Revoltech collection. It’s the Powered Armor from the Starship Troopers anime. The paint job is what makes it.
I wonder how long it took to do this; it had to have taken a very long time.
