Magneto’s Pencil of Choice

Ready to ragequit on your mechanical pencil? A part of the frustration comes from their lack of accuracy and consistency with the lead position and length. Up until now, anyway! Magno is a 2mm lead mechanical pencil unlike any other.

It offers lead position accuracy far beyond other pencils due to the free-moving magnet concealed within its premium grade body. It works like this: the 2mm replaceable lead is held by a magnetic component concealed within the body of the pencil. Once the end tip is rotated, the brass collet releases the lead. The ferrous sleeve located around the outside of the body slides by hand to determine the length of lead. The ferrous outer sleeve moves the magnet and lead within the body. The lead is secured again by rotating the end tip which tightens the collet. Smart (and simple) stuff isn’t it?! Made from aircraft grade aluminum with an anodized surface in one of four cool colors, it’s also built to last a lifetime.

The Most Minimal Writing Utensil

The Uno pen may be one of the most minimal on the market but it doesn’t sacrifice functionality for that less-is-more look. At just 5.3 mm it’s also one of the thinnest, but its barrel grip section is of a standard size so it’s familiar and comfortable to write. Just a few twists of the barrel will open or close the pen and protect the tip.

The design uses the dynamic and fluid Hi-Tec C Coleto ink cartridge but can also transform into a pencil in seconds! Simply swap out the ink cartridge with lead cartridges and replace the cap for an entirely new tool!

Anodized in 4 distinct colors including red, gold, rose gold and space gray, there’s a color option to match your other devices perfectly!

The Pencil, Evolved

pencil_01

If you’ve ever been mid-sketch, you know that even a minute distraction can cause a major break in your creative outpouring. That’s precisely the inspiration behind Pencil+! Don’t go looking for a sharpener – Pencil+ eliminates all these problems at once. If it breaks or goes dull, simply unscrew from the clasp and sharpen. If you need to correct a mistake, just use the eraser inside the cavity and get back to writing or drawing!

Apple Pencil Case by 68º

apple_pencil_wood_case_1

So you bought yourself a fancy iPad Pro. Good for you, we hope you like it. How about that Apple Pencil? Where do you put it when you’re not using it. Right, we thought you’d agree that might’ve been somewhat of an oversight on Apple’s part. Well, 68º has got you covered. The Apple Pencil Case is a decent looking case, hand-made from either Ash, Wenge or Bog Oak and finished in a thin layer of red Valchromat, which is glued in place. You’ve spent a pretty penny on the iPad Pro, why not go the extra mile and spend another $79-$92 on a decent resting space for its main accessory?

Use your Apple Pencil to draw all over Microsoft Office apps

Microsoft has rolled out support for the Apple Pencil in its iOS version of Office, allowing iPad Pro users to scribble to their heart's content across spreadsheets, documents and presentations. This month's Office updates include a new "Draw" tab in...

Not your everyday Pencil-case

alum_pencil_case_1

If you’re the kind to revere your Apple products, spending money on cases/sleeves/guards for them, you’re at the right place. Apple recently launched their iPad Pro stylus, dubbed the Pencil. Now while I usually give credit to meticulously beautiful designs, the Apple Pencil lacks a certain magic. Given the Apple product line’s consistency when it comes to the usage and celebration of Aluminum as a material, the Pencil kinda lacks in that department. The Alum case for the Pencil takes care of that in a way that makes it look almost like it was created by the Apple design team itself!

Taking the pencil’s hexagonal history, the case sports the same look, and of course, in our favorite air-craft grade aluminum. Not too thick or thin, the Alum case is the perfect addition to your Apple collection if you’ve already invested in the iPad Pro.

Pencil Sword Eraser: The Pencil Is Mightier

I can’t count the number of pencil sword fights I got into growing up. All I know is that my elementary school teachers didn’t appreciate it much. I can recall one particularly nasty duel where my opponent ended up with some lead under the palm of his hand.

What may well be the coolest add-on eraser for a pencil I have ever seen has turned up. It looks like the hilt of a sword. Slip it onto your pencil, and your pencil sword fights will now be much more realistic.

The erasers actually work, as if you would want to mess up the world’s coolest erasers with mere mistakes. They come in blue, grey, and black, and you can purchase them online from Peleg Design.

Must Have: The Penxo Pencil

To prove it’s point at being the best ever minimalist lead holder pencil, the Penxo has gone ahead and bagged the Red Dot Awards – Best of Best for 2015. Accolades and awards aside, this pencil is a must have for those as obsessed with stationery as I am. Designed to perfection and with impeccable attention to detail, in many ways it syncs with the Apple design philosophy and I wouldn’t be surprised if Jony Ive gets himself one!

Backed by his passion for designing, designer Brian Tong TAK always found himself circling back to his trusty pencils as his choice of tool. Asking himself hard questions like what he could do to “eliminate all the finicky mechanical bits” in a mechanical lead pencil, the answer came in the form of the Penxo.

Driven by simplicity, the pencil is also the features a last lead release mechanism. According to Brian, he spent “countless hours designing and refining the Penxo, hoping to inject some modernity while remaining true to its traditional form.”

Features:

  • Penxo is a minimalist 2mm lead holder pencil precisely milled from a single block of aluminum.
  • The simplistic design eliminates the springs, buttons, and mechanical parts found in conventional mechanical pencils.
  • The center gap functions as a lead trigger release and indicator window for lead color, markings and usage.
  • The forward cutting gap on the pencil tip creates a pivot tension at the opposite end – this counter balance creates a clamp-like effect, which secures the lead.
  • The design offers the fastest lead release compared to any other lead pencil.
