ICYMI: Cheaper exo suits, radical plane design and more
The Fixed-wing Flying ER
The DNS10 entirely rethinks the aeromedical system not only in the sense of the aircraft itself, but with an arsenal of tools to aid in search and rescue. The manned aircraft features an efficient dual rotor system built directly into the wings for maximized safety and stability. Assisted by autonomous equipment such as drones, a nanotech stretcher and jetpacks, the system aims to optimize agility in the rescuing process. On board, the interior is fitted with a myriad of life-supporting tools and technology and room for medical technicians to make sure patients are fully prepared upon arrival to the hospital.

Envisioning the Eco-Jet
Designed for the not-so-distant future, the AWWA·QG “Progress Eagle” 800 passenger aircraft features innovations in form and tech that make it both bigger and greener than an Airbus A380. Most noticeably, the reshaped fuselage is more giant fighter jet than airliner, giving it enhanced aerodynamics as well as visibility for both pilots and passengers. Despite its size, it aims for zero-contaminant emissions by harnessing approaching quantum mechanic technologies, superconductive fuel-cell engines and a CO2 in-air cleaning system.

Deal Of The Day: 14% Off on SmartPlane, A Smartphone-Controlled RC Plane
If you’ve always dreamed of flying a plane one day, then you’ll have a blast with SmartPlane. Granted, you won’t be flying people to their destination (it’s a toy plane, after all!), but you’ll be the pilot of your own plane without fear of injury in case you don’t perfect either your landing or takeoff.
The SmartPlane is smarter than your average remote-controlled plane for a number of reasons. Its fully proportional rudder helps make those turns easier, while the intuitive app and gyroscope tilt controls makes it easier to control the plane with your smartphone.
The SmartPlane is available for $59.99.
