Thermal Unmasked Predator Bank: Over Heeeere
I am a big Predator fan. Last weekend I was trying to Watch Alien vs. Predator: Requiem. It sounds like such an awesome premise, and then the movie sucks balls. Like most of you, I still like the original Predator with Arnold the best. All Arnie needed to defeat the evil alien was some mud and pointy sticks.
This Predator is sans mask, and has his jaw finger thingies spread and ready to take your coins. It’s a bank after all, granted not a particularly large one. He’s all done up in primary colors because it is supposed to look like a Predator seen through a thermal device.
I’d rather have it painted up correctly and looking like it’s coming to kill me. I also found the Predator scarier while wearing his dreadlock mask than without. Get your own bank at ThinkGeek for $24.99(USD).
The New Predator Movie Needs to GET TO THA THEATA
My favorite Arnie flick from the ’80s was easily Predator. The later films in the franchise really sucked, but that original was a fantastic movie that gave us iconic characters and one-liners like “GET TO DA CHOPPA!” Sadly, I didn’t buy Adrien Brody at all in Predators, the entire movie left me disappointed.
It looks like another Predator film is in the works with reports indicating that a new script has been handed in and a teaser image turning up on Facebook. The image shows an old-school looking predator with his shoulder cannon thingy and a tagline “You’ll Never See Him Coming.”
The script is reportedly being written by Shane Black and Fred Dekker. Black was a supporting actor in the original Predator and worked on the script. He also wrote Lethal Weapon and The Last Boy Scout, both ’80s flicks that I loved growing up. Dekker wrote some cheesy ’80s horror flicks, and also wrote episodes of Tales from the Crypt.
I want to watch this movie, like now.

Predator Lunch Box: Get to Da Lunch Room!
My all-time favorite Schwarzenegger flick is Predator. I bet I have seen that movie a thousand times, and it has one of the most iconic Arnie lines ever uttered- “Get to Da Choppa!” My daughter runs around the house and screams that line frequently when she is trying to get away from her mom or me after doing something silly.
Not too long ago, I showed you guys an Alien lunchbox made from tin like those old lunch boxes from my youth. Now we have a Predator lunch box that I think is much cooler. One side has an image of a naked Predator, and the other has its helmet on. On the top of the lunch box you get an image of the countdown timer showing when it’s about to blow. It also comes with an insulated drink thermos embellished with the same two Predators.
It makes sense that we have both Predator and Alien lunch boxes. One of the films in the series did have the two alien races battling it out, after all. I think the Predator lunch box would most definitely win this fight. Get your own at ThinkGeek for $14.99(USD).
Dark Horse Comic Predator 8″ Figure Celebrates 25 Years
Predator fans who like comic books may remember when the very first issue of the Dark Horse comics based on the galactic hunter hit stores. It has been 25 years now since that first issue was published. To celebrate that anniversary a sweet new action figure has been unveiled.
The 8-inch action figure is designed and colored to look like the blue armor-wearing Predator from that first issue. The action figure is aimed at collectors and packed in a window box with original comic book art.
The action figure also ships with a mini-comic reprint of Predator #1. You know you will want to play with this thing. I suggest you order two so one can stay in the box. You can get them at ThinkGeek for $29.99(USD).
Predator Play Arts Kai Variant Action Figure is a Skull Ripper
With all the remakes and reboots of old school Arnie films, if they ever remake Predator, I hope they do the film justice. Predator is one of my all-time favorite sci-fi/action flicks. The creature here wasn’t in any of the Predator films that I am aware of. It’s a Play Arts Kai Variant action figure, and it is awesome.
It’s mostly red and black and comes with three replaceable hands. It also includes a club made out of a skull and spine, interchangeable mandible, and a helmet.
The action figure is 11″ tall and is highly poseable, so you can play with it all you want in different scenarios. ThinkGeek has the Predator Play Arts Kai Variant action figure in stock now for $119.99.
Predator 2 City Hunter Action Figure is Way Cooler than Danny Glover
The original Predator is one of my favorite action movies of the ’80s. I don’t feel the same about Predator 2 with Danny Glover – he just didn’t live up to Arnie. Apparently there was a video game based on Predator 2, which somehow I missed back in the day.
NECA has a new action figure that ships in a vintage looking reproduction of the box that video game shipped in. The action figure stands 8-inches tall and has 25 points of articulation.
It’s painted in a special deco paint to make it look like the luminescent creature from that game. The action figure includes a combi-stick, smart-disc, and trophy skull that’s still attached to its spine. You can grab the Predator 2 game action figurre from ThinkGeek for $24.99.
Predator’s Wrist Blades Forged in Real Life
It’s always awesome to watch the guys from Man at Arms:Reforged do their work. This time around they are recreating the Predator’s deadly gauntlet blades from Alien vs. Predator.
These guys are master weapon forgers, and they don’t disappoint here. They better not, because when you’re working for a Predator, you don’t live long if you disappoint. The team does a great job recreating the weapon, and the finished product looks pretty awesome and deadly.
You can see them test it out at the end of the video on watermelons and soda bottles and stuff. Pretty badass.
