Say what you will about Microsoft's ecosystem struggles, but no one can fault it for trying. In an effort to get more developers to give Windows Phone 8 more than a passing glance, the outfit has just launched a beta version of Windows Phone App Studio -- a web-based dev environment that's "designed to help anyone quickly bring an idea to life by applying text, web content, imagery, and design concepts to any one of a rich set of customizable templates." Moreover, Microsoft is now allowing any dev to unlock and register a single phone to use with up to two apps, and it's also offering a $19 "Summer Break" Dev Center registration offer for those looking to actually publish software to the store. Finally, a new "Click To Chat" support program is being instituted to help those who can't quite seem to overcome a programming hurdle. Take a look at the company's blog post for the full skinny.

Samsung are well know for their adverts poking fun at Apple, and now it looks like Nokia has decided to take on Apple in its latest advert for the Nokia Lumia 925.
Nokia thinks that the Lumia 925 is better for taking photos than the iPhone 5, and even goes on to say that ‘better photos are taken with Nokia Lumia’s than any other mobile’.

Nokia unveiled it’s mid range Nokia Lumia 625 that will be available on a number of carriers in US and UK. It appears as if the Finnish manufacturer is working on releasing the dual-SIM variant of Lumia 625. The folks at Nokia Lebanon tweeted a photo of a Lumia device that appears to be Lumia 625 saying that it’s dual-SIM.

It looks like some new features for Windows Phone 8 have been discovered by developer Walking Cat, these new features will be released in the Windows Phone 8 GDR2 update.
Two new features for blocking calls and SMS messages have been discovered by comparing the Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 8 GDR2 emulator code.

we had previously heard that the new Nokia Lumia 925 would launch in the UK some time in September, although according to @Vizileaks the handset will launch in UK stores on the 26th of August.
The Nokia Lumia 625 is powered by a dual core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, it also comes with 512MB of RAM and 8GB of built in storage, plus a microSD card slot that can take up to 64GB cards.
