We are only a couple months away from the new Star Wars flick The Force Awakens hitting theaters. Not too long ago, many of the toys that go along with movie started to hit stores, along with many pre-order opportunities. If your tastes lean more towards high-end collectibles than cheap action figures, check out the latest from Hot Toys.
These cool looking Imperial Snowtroopers are available separately or as a set. The duo look pretty much the same, but one has a red shoulder tab signifying him as an officer. The action figures are highly articulated and come with lots of accessories.
Among the accessories are blaster rifles and articulated binoculars along with several sets of hands. The two-action figure set also comes with a pair of exclusive blaster rifles.
You can grab the officer for $219.99(USD), the regular snowtrooper for $219.99, or the pair for $389.99 over at

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain‘s star Venom Snake gets the cute Nendoroid treatment. Actually this one’s full name is Nendoroid Venom Snake: Sneaking Suit Version, so it’s safe to assume we’ll see other variants in the near future. Aside from his big head and stubby feet, V comes with the Phantom Cigar, a cardboard box, an iDroid with a map hologram effect, three swappable prosthetic arms – the bionic arm, the stun arm and the blast arm – a pistol, a rifle and a Fulton balloon that fits around any Nendoroid figure. The Nendoroid Venom Snake: Sneaking Suit Version costs around $50 (USD). If you pre-order him straight from Good Smile Company, he’ll come with a Jehuty prosthetic arm. [via Super Punch] One of the cool things I always liked about Daredevil is that you knew he could get his ass kicked and die. It’s hard to worry about any real consequences for Superman or Thor. I watched the old Daredevil flick with Ben Affleck back in the day, and it was a pretty terrible superhero movie. In fact, it was so bad that we went years after that with virtually no superhero movies to watch. I did happily watch the Netflix version of Daredevil and very much liked that show. This new Marvel Select Daredevil 7-inch action figure reminds me a lot of the Netflix show and very little of Affleck, which is a good thing in my book. He comes with a couple of accessories, including a pair of nunchucks and church steeple for him to peer out from. ThinkGeek has got the Marvel Select Daredevil figure for $24.99(USD). Back to the Future introduced us to Doc and Marty back in the ’80s and spawned a memorable three-flick franchise that was rather extraordinary for its time. What you see here are some vinyl collectables of Marty and Doc that don’t look much like the characters from the movies. Doc has some sort of chameleon eye thing going on. Doc has his remote control clipboard and Marty is holding the camera and skateboard. The action figures are 8-inch scale and are part of the Vinyl Sugar collection that also has those sweet Ghostbusters figures I talked about before. You can get hands on Doc or Marty at ThinkGeek for $19.99(USD) each. Too bad there is no scale DeLorean, that car was as much a character in the film as the actors were. Though it might look weird with chameleon headlights. It’s time to add to your action figure collection with these sweet new Orphan Black vinyl POP! action figures from Funko. There are three characters in the series with Sarah, Cosima, and Helena. You can get any of the three for $9.99 at ThinkGeek. These action figures would go well with your Catbug and Impossibear POP figures. At least their disproportionately large heads would match. Hopefully Helena won’t try to stab them. That would be sad. Like all the other Funko POP! Clones, the Orphan Black series are 3.75-inches tall and have beady black eyes. I’ve never watched Bravest Warriors, but I am pretty sure that Impossibear is Jake from Adventure Time’s uncle or something, they sort of look alike. What I do know is that Impossibear is a bear with rainbow colored fur and a massive ’70s pornstache. I could totally see this bear standing on a mountainside losing his shit over a double rainbow. Catbug is part cat, which means asshole, and part ladybug. I can only assume catbug will try to fly up your nose, and then push your cup onto the floor. Sounds fantastic. Now, Funko has given these characters the Pop! treatment offering them in vinyl glory. You can get either one for $9.99(USD) at ThinkGeek right now. As with all Pop! action figures, these little buggers are 3.75-inches tall and adorable. Back in the day, I loved Ghostbusters. I had the record of Ray Parker Jr. singing the theme and played it until the needle wore out the vinyl. Like most sane people, my favorite was always the original film; the follow-ups weren’t as cool in my book. Original Ghostbusters fans can get a set of action figures based on the film to celebrate your geekiness. The toys are from the cartoony Vinyl Idolz line and stand 8-inches tall. Available action figures include Venkman, Stantz, and Spengler, but (surprise, surprise) no Zeddemore. You can get any one of the three right now for $19.99 each on ThinkGeek. Too bad there is no Vinyl Idolz Staypuft Marshmallow Man. I’m not a big Sherlock Holmes buff. I’ve seen the films with Robert Downey Jr. and they left a lot to be desired. On the other hand, I am a huge fan of the CBS series Elementary though. And I haven’t seen the UK show Sherlock. If you are a fan of the BBC series, here is your collection of Funko POP! figures. Sherlock fans can get two versions of Sherlock Holmes, Dr. John Watson, Mycroft Holmes, Jim Moriarty, and Irene Adler. Too bad there isn’t a Lucy Liu version of Watson. I would totally buy that. I watched Kill Bill the other day and Lucy doesn’t appear to have aged a day. It must be some sort of witchcraft. Each of these Sherlock POP! figures are $9.99(USD) from Entertainment Earth. [via NerdApproved] Recently unveiled at the Wonder Festival, Pokémon’s Mowgli and one of the most horribly named fictional characters are coming to inspect your Pokémon collection. You’d better let them out of their Poké Balls before N arrives. The ~4″ Nendoroid N comes with a smiling and a serious face, a Poké Ball and a Reshiram figure, so you’re actually getting two figures in one. The N Nendoroid should be available for pre-order at Good Smile Company’s online store by 7/28 for ~$40 (USD). [via My Nintendo News]Metal Gear Solid V Venom Snake Nendoroid: Ace of Mother Base
