Han Solo and Chewbacca Action Figures from Hot Toys

With the new Star Wars films coming, you can bet a slew of new toys to go along with that film are in the works too. Some of the toys will certainly be of new characters while others will be of the old characters we know and love.

Hot Toys has unveiled some very high-end looking 1/6th scale action figures of Han Solo and Chewbacca. Each action figure has over 30 points of articulation and a slew of accessories including hands for Han. Chewy looks exactly like I remember him from the original trilogy. Han on the other hand looks a bit off to me.

Perhaps they couldn’t get the rights to actually use Harrison Ford’s face to make the action figure. It sort of looks like him, but doesn’t at the same time. The figures will land in the first half of 2015 with pricing and exact date unknown.

Star Wars Typography Art Cufflinks

Here’s a sentence you probably don’t hear too often: take a look at these awesome cufflinks. These Star Wars Typography Art Cuff Links come in the shape of your favorite characters and feature psychedelic typography art on the front reminiscent of old Fillmore Auditorium rock posters from the 60′s.

Each one has words that describe or pertain to the character of the cufflink. Like the Darth Vader one above with words like “empire”, “power” and “evil”. Here’s R2 in use:

Chewbacca Plush Toy: Awww… Wook at the Wittle Wookiee

I’m looking for a new co-pilot. He should be big, furry and able to rip a droid’s arm out of it’s socket when the need arises. I think this is him right here. He isn’t huge, but he will do. I basically just need someone who’s gonna growl and scratch all day. You know, to make me look good in the pilot’s seat.

This handsome and furry co-pilot is only $38(USD) from Etsy artist SistersofSummer. Apparently it is available in pink as well. Which I would really like to see. I’ve never seen a pink wookiee before.

Get him while you can. The seller says that she is retiring him at the end of the year. You don’t want to be without a furry co-pilot.

Princess Leia Wears a Chewbaccoat

Wow. If you love Star Wars, this image may be hard to look at. Do you think that Han gave it to her as an anniversary gift? Poor Chewy.

Artist Yannick “Moutchy” Bouchard’s image of a naked Princess Leia wrapped up in the hide of Chewbacca is sexy, yet… unsettling. My inner geek is conflicted. The walking carpet and co-pilot of the Millennium Falcon has been reduced to a fur coat. A Chewbaccoat. They’re surely going to be hearing from PeTA.

Imagine if the movies were darker. This could have been Leia as Jabba’s prisoner instead of the bikini costume we all know and love. Imagine Leia strangling Jabba with Chewbacca’s skin.

What do you want for lunch today, something crunch or sweet? How about something….chewy? No matter what you eat, it will be protected Wookiee style in the Chewbacca Lunch Bag.
