Shazam Lands On Windows Phone 8

Shazam has announced the launch of their Shazam App on Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 platform, the app comes with a range of features, including the ability to purchase music direct from Xbox Music, or Nokia Music on a Nokia Windows Phone 8 device.

Huawei Ascend W2 Press Photo Leaked

We first saw a photo of the new Huawei Ascend W2 Windows Phone 8 smartphone last month, and now we have an actual press photo of the handset which was posted on Twitter by @evleaks.

The Huawei Ascend W2 will come with the latest version of Microsoft’s mobile OS, Windows Phone 8 and the handset is rumored to feature a 4.3 inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

Huawei Ascend W1 Now Available In The US

The Huawei Ascend W1 launched in Europe recently and now the handset is available in the US through Walmart and Straight Talk, the device is available for $229.99, and this is the price of the handset without having to sign up to a contract, although it can only be used on Straight Talk’s wireless service.

The Huawei Ascend W1 is a Windows Phone 8 smartphone that features a 4 inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, the device is powered by a dual Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 1.2GHz processor.

Microsoft And Google Working On New YouTube App For Windows Phone

We recently heard that Google were less than pleased with Microsoft’s YouTube app for Windows Phone, the app apparently broke Google’s YouTube terms and conditions by removing adverts from YouTube videos.

Now it looks like Microsoft and YouTube have decided to work together to produce a new YouTube App for Windows Phone, and the app is expected to launch some time next month.

Microsoft and Google to Co-develop Youtube App

It wasn’t too long ago when Microsoft developed and published a Youtube app of their own to get the attention of Google – who’d failed to provide the Windows Phone with an official Youtube app. Yes, some feelings were hurt, but now the two have reached an agreement and will be co-developing a better Youtube app for the Windows Phone.

It’s one of the most used apps between Android and iPhone users. Microsoft wasn’t happy to see their phone being left out in the cold, so they took matters into their own hand and created a Youtube app of their own. Youtube was outraged, claiming the app was not within the compliance standard of their terms of agreement.

Nokia EOS To Launch In July (Rumor)

We have been hearing quite a bit about the Nokia EOS over the last few weeks, the handset is rumored to be Nokia’s first Windows Phone 8 smartphone that will use the 41 megapixel camera sensor that launched with the Nokia 808 PureView.

Now according to a recent report, Nokia will officially launch the Nokia EOS in July, of course this date has yet to be confirmed by Nokia, who have yet to confirm the handsets existence.

Nokia Lumia 521 Now Available From T-Mobile

The Nokia Lumia 521 has been available for a while on T-Mobile contracts in the US, although you couldn’t actually buy the device from T-Mobile as it was exclusive to HSN at launch.

The Nokia Lumia 521 is now available to buy direct from T-Mobile from their retail stores and also their online store, the handset is available on the company’s Uncarrier plans, and will cost you $29 up front with equal monthly payments for the balance made over the next 24 months, if you go for the T-Mobile Simple Choice Plans the monthly payments will be $5 per month.
