Alien Titans Blind Box Action Figures: In Space No One Can Hear you Geek

I remember watching Alien for the first time when I was growing up. That movie scared the crap out of me, but I loved it. The entire Alien franchise remain some of my favorite sci-fi movies. If you are a fan of the series, check this out.

ThinkGeek has a new set of 3-inch Alien Titans Nostromo Blind Box action figures. There are 16 figures in the series and you never know which one you will get. That’s both the allure and the curse of blind-boxed action figures.

You might get Dallas, Ash, an Ash variant, Brett, Parker, Lambert, one of two Big Chap versions,  Egg, egg variant, Ripley, Ripley variant, Facehugger Kane, Chestburster Kane, a Facehugger, or Ripley in a spacesuit. Regardless which one you get, they’re all cool. Each action figure will set you back $9.99(USD) at ThinkGeek.

Go Go Power Rangers Vinyl Action Figures!

I’m glad to say that my kids were too young when the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers were popular to want to watch the show. I have seen only a few episodes, and it must be the cheesiest show ever made. I know there are a lot of fans out there, and if you are one of them, you will want these action figures.

There are ten different vinyl action figures that are articulated and have removable helmets. The action figures are 3″ tall and were designed by Joe Allard. The catch is that these things are blind-boxed. That means you can’t choose which one you want and you get what you get.

If you order five, you could get five of the same exact one. At $13.99(USD) each at ThinkGeek, it’s a costly risk if you want a specific action figure, but they are pretty cool. I really like Goldar – the blue dog thing in the gold armor.

Vinyl Vixens DC Action Figures Celebrate Female Baddies

Many of the female bad guys in the comic book world aren’t purely bad. These characters always seem to me to be right on the verge between full bad and somewhat good. A new series of Vinyl Vixens statues have turned up to celebrate three of these morally ambiguous characters from the DC universe.

The statues include Poison Ivy, Catwoman, and Harley Quinn. All three are officially-licensed DC collectibles and are made in pin-up style by Funko. Each of the statues is attached to a star base and are about nine inches tall.

You can pick up any one of the three at ThinkGeek for $29.99(USD) each. All are in stock right now and all of them have battled Batman at one point in their evil careers.

Custom Atari 2600 Action Figures Actually Match the Cover Art

A couple of years ago custom action figure maker Dan Polydoris made a handful of action figures based on characters from Activision’s Atari 2600 games. Now he’s back with four more characters from the console’s hit list.

Dan says he repurposed figures from the beloved Kenner Star Wars line to create these toys. Hence this Rodian space invader.

Karate Kid Action Figures Will Sweep the Leg

One of the most iconic movies of the ’80s was The Karate Kid. Young me learned a lot from that movie. Beating the crap out of bullies was okay at a karate tournament for instance. Most importantly, I learned that waxing a car is as good as training in a dojo and there is no defense against the mighty crane kick.

If you want to relive some of your ’80s youth, you will want all of these Funko Karate Kid action figures. There are several of them including Daniel in his uniform for the tournament and while painting a fence. Mr. Miyagi is featured in his brown bonsai tree tending outfit.

Ali is there with her boom box along with the evil Cobra Kai teacher and Johnny with his evil leg sweeping ways. Each of the action figures costs $9.99(USD) over at Entertainment Earth, and will ship in April 2015.

Firefly Funko Pop! Vinyl Figures Lack River

If you are a fan of Firefly, you might recall a while back we mentioned that Funko was working on a line of its Pop! action figures featuring the crew of the Serenity. It’s been a couple of years now since we talked about those action figures and you can now buy them on ThinkGeek for $9.99 each.

Sadly, you can’t buy the entire crew; River and the doctor are missing. Still you can buy Zoe Washburne, Hoban Washburne, Malcolm Reynolds, Jayne Cobb, and Kaylee Frye. That covers most of the crew, but I always liked the insane River best.

Each of the action figures is 3 3/4-inches tall and has some of their gear from the show. Mal has his revolver, Wash has his Hawaiian shirt and dinosaur, and Jayne has his ugly hat.

Pacific Rim 7-inch Action Figures Whoop Butt with a Boat

One of my favorite scenes from Pacific Rim is when Gipsy Danger gets into the fight with the Kaiju in the middle of the city and ends up handing out a beat down with a cargo ship picked up out of the harbor. I thought though the whole scene that the Jaeger pilots really don’t give a crap about the city they are trying to protect.

Still, it was cool to see a monster get beat with a boat. ThinkGeek has some nifty 7-inch action figures from Pacific Rim that fans will love. You can get the Gipsy Danger 2.0 figure or Tacit Ronin. Each of the action figures has over 20 points of articulation.

Gipsy includes the ship while the Tacit Ronin figure comes empty-handed. The action figures were sculpted using digital files from ILM used in the movie. Each of the figures sells for $24.99(USD).

Sega Genesis Megatron: A Real American Villain

Earlier this year we featured Takara Tomy’s killer crossover combo action figures of Optimus Prime as a Sony PlayStation and Megatron as a Sega Mega Drive. It turns out the toy maker also released a US variant of the latter – Genesis Megatron.

Genesis Megatron has the classic Sega Genesis logo on its chest, as well as on the bundled scale models of the controller and the Sonic the Hedgehog cartridge. Also it’s name isn’t as catchy as its Japanese counterpart.

The Sega Genesis Megatron action figure is limited to 1,000 action figures, making it even more of an oddity. Transform and rise up and head to NCSX to pre-order the toy for $140 (USD).

Pulp Fiction Minimates are Bad MiniF**kers

Pulp Fiction was one of those movies that was awesome to watch, despite being a bit weird at times. There were tons of classic movie lines in that film spouted from Jules and Vincent as they went around killing people and talking about random stuff. You can get your hands on tiny articulated versions of Jules and Vincent.

pulp fictionmagnify

The action figures are Minimates, which are sort of like articulated LEGO minifigs. The action figures come with stands to keep them upright, guns, and a briefcase. Jules is holding a Royale with Cheese and a drink as well. Each of the tiny action figures stands 2-inches tall and has 14 points of articulation. Only Vincent can hold stuff, Jules is permanently holding the burger and shake.

The pair of action figures will set you back $9.99(USD) at ThinkGeek.
