Is That a Banana Lamp on Your Desk, or Are You Just Glad to See Me?

While you could decorate your table with a bowl of fruit (real or fake), I like the idea of this shiny golden pop art banana lamp so much more. It looks so good that it just might attract monkeys into your place, and they could make a mess of the joint.

These banana lamps were designed by Belgium’s Studio Job and produced by Seletti. They’re made from a combination of resin and glass, and come in three different designs, named Huey, Dewey, and Louie, which also the names of Donald Duck’s nephews, and the robots in Silent Running.

Choose one to suit your mood, or grab all three if you like your bananas by the bunch. Each lamp sells for $295 over on Gessato, which is a whole lot of bananas if you ask me.

Dinosaur Coins Should Be the Global Standard Currency

Forget debit cards and cryptocurrency. We should all be paying for stuff with dinosaur coins. This one should do the trick just fine. This commemorative dinosaur coin is available from The Westminster Collection, and it has some cool features.

This $1 coin is minted for the Cook Islands, and features Queen Elizabeth II on one side, and a T. Rex on the other side. Because, why not? Each 24-karat gold-plated coin includes a free UV flashlight so you can shine it at the t-rex and see its hidden skeleton. So it is a coin and a toy.

Apparently, the initial run of 9,500 limited edition coins were released in 2014, but there are still some left. You can get your grubby little mitts on one over at the Westminster Collection for £9.99 (~$13 USD).

Gold PS4 Spotted at Target, Expected to Drop June 9

It looks like Sony has a new PS4 variant ready to go for E3. According to a thread on Reddit, Sony will launch a gold colored PS4 as early as this month. Bling bling. Who’s there? Sony. That’s who.

One Redditor who works at Target said that this console should launch on June 9. That’s one day before E3 2017 kicks off, so it is likely that Sony will touch on this release during its E3 presentation. We don’t know if this gold variant will cost more than the standard PS4, but it probably will be a limited edition run.

So if you are going for the gold, you better get one while you can.
