HTC Windows Phone 8S Gets Unboxed (Video)

Last week we heard that the SIM free version of the new HTC Windows Phone 8S was now available in the UK, and now we have a quick video of this budget Windows Phone 8 smartphone being unboxed and we also get to look at some of the features on the handset.

The HTC 8S features a dual core Qualcomm S4 1GHz processor and it comes with 16GB of storage, and a microSD card slot , there is also 512MB of RAM.

HTC 8X, 8X And J Butterfly Headed To China This Month

HTC has announced that it will be launching its latest smartphones in China this month, one Android device and two Windows Phone 8 smartphones, which include the new HTC J Butterfly and the HTC Windows Phone 8X and HTC Windows Phone 8S.

All three devices will be available in China around the middle of December, with a number of different carriers which include China Unicom, China Telecom and China Mobile.

Nokia Lumia 505 Windows Phone Smartphone Leaked

It looks like Nokia is getting ready to add another Windows Phone smartphone to their Lumia range, the Nokia Lumia 505 which was recently leaked by a retailer in Mexico.

The device will come with an 8 megapixel camera and will be one of the first Windows Phone smartphones to be released with Windows Phone 7.8 out of the box.

Lowend Nokia Lumia 505 gets outed, coming as an exclusive to Mexico

It's not exactly often that our neighbors down south get any handset exclusives to call their own, but according to Guerrero Móvil's Facebook page, there's a Mexico-only Lumia 505 well on its way to Telcel's mobile lineup. Aside from touting an 8-megapixel camera, though, the regional carrier doesn't really reveal any other details -- however, rumor has it this Nokia handset will be running Redmond's en-route Widows Phone 7.8 and come sporting a 3.5 or 4-inch WVGA display with an 800MHz, single-core processor, 256MB RAM and 4GB of built-in storage. Of course, it's still a tad bit early to say these specs are set in stone, but the social network post does note that the WP slab will soon be official, and thus it's only a matter of time before we find out what the Lumia 505 really has to offer.

Samsung Ativ S To Launch In UK Before The End Of 2012

The Samsung Ativ S was scheduled to launch in the UK back in October, the launch of the device was delayed, and now Samsung has confirmed to Tech Radar that the handset will be available in the UK before the end of the year.

The Samsung Ativ S comes with Windows Phone 8 and it is powered by a dual core 1.5GHz processor and it features a 4.8 inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display with a HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

Windows Phone Store Now Has 120,000 Apps

On Monday we heard from Microsoft that the app downloads and developer revenue in the Windows Phone Store had increase by around one hundred percent, and not it would appear that the Windows Phone Store has reached another milestone.

According to Nokia there are now over 120,000 applications available in the Windows Phone Store, also there are now 46 of the top 50 iOS and Android Apps available in the Windows Phone Store.

Nokia Lumia 920T Announced For China

As well as announcing the new Nokia Lumia 620, Nokia has also announced another new Windows Phone smartphone, the Nokia Lumia 920T which is headed to China before the end of the year.

The Nokia Lumia 920T will be available with China Mobile before the end of 2012, and the device will retail for 4599 RMB which works out at around $739 without a contract.

We just got an email from the guys over at Unlocked Mobiles to let us know that they now have the SIM free version of the HTC Windows Phone 8S available in the UK< and the handset is now available for £224.98 including taxes.

The HTC 8S features a dual core Qualcomm S4 1GHz processor and it comes with 16GB of storage, and a microSD card slot , there is also 512MB of RAM.

Microsoft Says App Downloads And Developer Revenue Up 100 Percent Since WP8 Launch

Microsoft has announced on Twitter that since the release of their new Windows Phone 8 platform, the number of applications downloads from their Windows Phone store has increased by 100 percent.

Microsoft also announced that their developer revenue has also increased by 100 percent since the launch of Windows Phone 8, although they did not give an specific details about revenue paid to developers or the total number of downloads.
