Last week we had our first official word from Microsoft on when they will be releasing the Windows Phone 7.8 software update for existing devices, the official word is that it will be available in early 2013.

Now we have a video  of Windows Phone 7.8 running on Nokia’s Lumia 900 smartphone, the video below gives us a brief look at what Widows Phone 7.8 will be like on existing Windows Phone devices.

HTC Windows Phone 8S Not Coming To The US

When HTC announced its new Windows Phone 8 smartphones, the HTC Windows Phone 8X and the HTC Windows Phone 8S, we thought that both handset would be available in the US as well as Europe.

Now it would appear that HTC does not plan to launch the cheaper HTC Windows Phone 8S in the US, you can see an official statement from HTC below.

Windows Phone 8 Random Reboot Fix Coming Next Month

Microsoft recently acknowledged the random reboot issue in Windows Phone 8 devices, the issue was causing devices that were running Windows Phone 8 to reboot and it was affecting devices like the HTC Windows Phone 8X and the Nokia Lumia 920.

Bing Translator gets updated for Windows Phone 8, available now in the Store

The Bing Translator app has been helping Windows Phone users avoid cross-cultural mishaps since April of last year, adding augmented reality and offline capability along the way. Naturally, Microsoft has updated this utility for Windows Phone 8. The latest version of Translator supports six languages (Chinese, English, French, German, Italian and Spanish) and features a new "lens" for translating text via a smartphone's camera. Huawei To Announce Ascend W1 Windows Phone 8 Handset Soon

We have already seen a leaked photo of Huawei’s new Windows Phone 8 smartphone, the Huawei Ascend W1, and now it would appear that Huawei may be getting ready to announce the device.

The news comes from the guys over at Windows Phone Italy, who have been told by a Huawei manager that the company will soon be introducing a new Windows Phone handset.

We heard earlier today that Windows Phone 7.8 for existing devices will be headed to China in the ‘coming weeks’ and now according to a recent report by a number of sites, Microsoft may actually release the Windows Phone 7.8 update this Wednesday the 28th of November.

The guys over at WMPoweruser have received a tip that Microsoft will be releasing the Windows Phone 7.8 update on the 28th of November, and the udpate will apparently bring a new start screen and much more

Windows Phone 7.8 Update Headed To China In ‘Coming Weeks’

It looks like Microsoft may be getting ready to release their Windows Phone 7.8 update for existing Windows Phone devices, we had previously heard that it would land some time early next year.

Now it would appear that Microsoft may be ready to launch the Windows Phone 7.8 update in China, as Microsoft’s greater China Vice President has told a Chinese publication that the update will be launched in China in the ‘coming weeks’.
