ASUS pushes Android 4.2 to Transformer Pad TF300, makes TF700 users wait until Q2

Transformer Pad TF300 buyers may have had to compromise on screen resolution, but the little slab's software support is second to none -- ASUS just announced that its entry level Transformer Pad will be its first to taste Android 4.2.2. Customers in the United States can grab the Jelly Bean update over the air starting today, while international users will see regional rollouts throughout the month. Own one of the company's higher end slates? Sit tight, ASUS says Android 4.2 should roll out to the Transformer Pad Infinity and other devices in Q2 2013. A wait for the virtuous, to be sure.

Android 422 factory image now available for download

Google's been rolling out Android 4.2.2 to all manner of Nexi recently, including the Nexus 4. However, should you be among those yet to receive the latest and greatest Jelly Bean build, you can go grab the software yourself and do your updating the old fashioned (as opposed to the OTA) way. The code is currently available for the Nexus 4, 7, 10 and GSM GNex models, so impatient owners should head on over to Google Developers and get their download on.

Android 4.2.2 update reportedly arriving on Galaxy Nexus phones, Nexus tablets

Android 422 update reportedly arriving on Galaxy Nexus phones, Nexus tablets

After a few sightings early in January we hadn't heard much about a new version of Android 4.2, but posters on Reddit and Android Police say 4.2.2 is starting to pop up on several flavors of Nexus hardware. First spotted on a r/Android poster's GSM Galaxy Nexus and later on Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 tablets (as shown above), there's no changes listed other than "performance and stability," however there's hope that this includes promised fixes for Bluetooth A2DP issues. We haven't seen any new software on our devices and there's no official word yet, let us know in the comments if you're seeing anything new on your mobile device.
