Design Philosophies Converged

Both versions share a base of ultra-high performance and sustainable technology but diverge dramatically in their aesthetic expressions. The Gotham B95 matches in style but adds a matt black inner and gloss black outer ring, all held together with Titan calipers and a brushed aluminum anodized black rim center lock ring.

Dark Knight Version: The Vigilante’s Edge

In contrast, the Dark Knight versions embody the night-time alter-ego of Bruce Wayne—mysterious, formidable, and always one step ahead. These models feature:

  • Color Palette: Both Dark Knight vehicles’ livery is a deep black Nero Profondo gloss paint that mirrors the Bat suit. The ‘Goccia’ roof maintains the Nero Torino finish, enhancing the vehicle’s menacing and stealthy aesthetic.

  • Interior Upholstery: Here, the Dark Knight theme opts for a more dramatic black Alcantara and black leather, stitched together with a striking black and gold duo-tone contrast stitch. This choice reflects the utilitarian yet exceptional nature of Batman’s gear.

Foster + Partners reveal JPMorgan Chase office design for new all-electric headquarters in New York City

JPMorgan Chase reveals plans for its new headquarters located in New York City.

Today, American multinational investment bank JPMorgan Chase reveals plans for the company’s new all-electric headquarters located in New York City. Designed by Foster + Partners, the new skyscraper is slated for construction at 270 Park Avenue, in busy Midtown Manhattan.

Designer: Foster + Partners

Rising to 423 meters in height, the new headquarters will mark the city’s “largest all-electric tower with net-zero operational emissions,” describes the architects with Foster + Partners. Obtaining renewable energy from a New York state hydroelectric plant to power the entire building, the architects say that the tower will host “exceptional indoor air quality that exceeds the highest standards in sustainability, health, and wellness.”

Midtown Manhattan is known for some pretty iconic buildings–from the Chrysler Building to the Flatiron Building. Introducing a new skyscraper to weave into the city fabric is always a feat in itself. “270 Park Avenue is set to be a new landmark that responds to its historic location as well as the legacy of JPMorgan Chase in New York,” Founder and Executive Chairman of Foster + Partners, Norman Foster says,

“The unique design rises to the challenge of respecting the rhythm and distinctive streetscape of Park Avenue while accommodating the vital transport infrastructure of the city below. The result is an elegant solution where the architecture is the structure, and the structure is the architecture, embracing a new vision that will serve JPMorgan Chase now and well into the future.”

Replacing an antiquated building from the 1950s, the new skyscraper will house up to 14,000 employees, marking a three-quarters increase in building occupancy. Supported by an innovative fan-column structure, and triangular bracing, allowing the building to remain elevated above the ground by 80 feet.

On the ground floor, the new headquarters will offer 2.5 times more outdoor space, “featuring wider sidewalks and a large public plaza on Madison Avenue with natural green space and other amenities geared toward the residents, workers, and visitors who frequent the neighborhood on a daily basis.”

Tesla Cybertruck-inspired innovations continue with extensions that transform it into an all-electric catamaran

Cybercat is a hydrofoil-boosted set of amphibious mechanics designed to attach to Tesla’s yet-to-be-released Cybertruck and transform it into an all-electric catamaran.

Announced in 2019, Tesla’s Cybertruck has yet to reach production. With no hint of the new vehicle hitting the streets anytime soon, our impatience for Elon Musk is making space for our imaginations to run wild. Designing a set of seafaring add-ons for Tesla’s yet-to-be-released pickup model, Seattle-based designer Anthony Diamond conceptualized Cybercat, a set of amphibious mechanics that transforms Cybertruck into an all-electric catamaran.

Once production starts, Cybertruck will come loaded with a large battery, tough construction, and adaptive air suspension, only a few components away, as Diamond suggests, “transforming into a capable all-electric amphibious watercraft.”

Turning the dial up a notch, Diamond hopes to incorporate hydrofoils into Cybercat’s mechanics, maximizing its efficiency on the water and releasing industry-leading performance for all-electric watercraft. Diamond boasts 335 maximum horsepower, top speeds of 25mph and up, as well as a range of 115+ miles at 6 mph (100+ NM at 5 knots) or 50+ miles at 15 mph (44+ NM at 13 knots).

Diamond also advertises that Cybercat will be portable and easy to install once physical models of Cybertruck become available. Describing Cybercat’s assembly process, Diamond suggests, “Installation or breakdown can be completed by a single person in less time than it takes to launch a boat. All components fold or collapse into parts that can be easily stowed in the Cybertruck vault, preserving EV range during transport.” While the assembly process sounds efficient and dependable, Diamond has yet to integrate the various features of Cybercat with Tesla’s road electric vehicles.

With the intent to collaborate with OEMs, Diamond hopes to alleviate the public’s skepticism over Cybercat by bringing this watercraft to the market. Costing upwards of $20,000, Diamond also promises hopeful customers that Cybercat will host an integrated suite of interconnected sensors, power/data connections, and pontoon pressure transducers that all work together to digitally verify every aspect of Cybercat’s assembly process was implemented correctly. Diamond goes on to ensure that, “built-in actuated jacks make contact with the vehicle lift points and automatically pre-tension the frame to the correct specification every time.”
