DestapaBanana Is A Tool For Stuffing Your Bananas
Ever felt like your banana was just too… healthy? Yeah, we thought so. So now that you’ve been having bananas stuffed with banana all your life, we’d like to open your eyes and turn your attention to the DestapaBanana. It appears to be a tool for boring a hole in a banana. You’re then free to fill that hole with other things that may not be quite as banana-y, like caramel, Nutella, Pop Rocks, peanuts… the sky is the limit.
To be honest, we’re not really sure this is a real product. The pictures look like a computer rendering, and we can’t seem to find where you can buy it. But we could be wrong, since this does seem like something that would be very popular among a certain demographic.

Turn Real Bananas (and more!) into a Piano
Ever wanted to play a piano made out of bananas? Do you want to now that I’ve put the idea in your head? Of course you do. And you can with the More Than Just a Banana Piano. Smart readers will realize that not only can you use bananas but you can also use virtually any other object that conducts even a trickle of electricity: ketchup, finger paint, lemons, coins, plants, people, play dough, and so much more. Experiment with anything you want. How does it work? Simply:
Just slip the alligator clip cables onto whatever objects you want to use for the piano keys. The wires run into the microcontroller circuit board which then hooks into your computer. Now just squeeze the banana (or whatever) and you’re playing a banana piano. No software needed, just plug and play. Even the circuit board is fun, for a circuit board. Be stoked:
It works as a substitute keyboard so you can even use bananas (or anything) to function as arrow keys to play just about any online game. Minecraft with a banana? Sure, why not? This kit was designed by former MIT students and is great for junior inventors and amateur tinkerers. Also banana fans who know that there’s always money in the banana stand. Clickthrough below to check out the video (sorry not embeddable) for some insane ideas you can do with it:

Banana Hammock on a Bike
I’ve heard of a banana seat for a bicycle but never a Banana Hammock. True, bananas are a great natural source of energy ideal for grueling outdoor sports like cycling. BUT, do you really need a leather sling just to tote around a single banana with you at all times? Yes? Well it goes beyond just the bike- why not strap it to your belt?
Just don’t lean back against any walls. I bet Batman never had that on his utility belt. You could also probably put some other types of fruits in there too- cucumbers? pickles? banana peppers? plantains? Bike on, bananaman. Bike on. (via boingboing)

Bizarre 3D Food iPhone Cases
Despite the knife pictured above, that’s not a pair of scallions atop an iPhone, that’s actually a 3D green onion case (by the way, “despite the knife” would make a great band name). The iMeshi series of iPhone 5 cases really take a love of food and put it out there for all to see. Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t see the point of a case that’s so much larger than the phone… bananaphone anyone?
Too small for a banana, too large for a case. But don’t worry carnivores, it’s not just restricted to fruits and veggies. Why here’s a bacon and egg case.
Actually that one’s not really too bad. And I’m not just saying that because it’s bacon- it’s because it’s flatter AND because it’s bacon. Bacon really does make everything better. Sushi anyone?
Don’t quote me on this but I believe that dipping your iPhone in soy sauce voids the warranty. Stick with just the wasabi. These weird food cases sell for about $40, imported from (you guessed it) Japan, if you’re really interested. Are you?
