Best Upcoming Smartphones of 2017

Smartphones never stop evolving. New innovations are being implemented almost every day. The headphone jack is slowly bidding goodbye. The fingerprint scanner is going to move under the display. And talking about the display, the bezels are constantly shrinking.

The internal hardware is being upgraded to monumental proportions and now, we even have phones with 8GB of RAM. 2017 is going to be a rocking year, in terms of the dynamic environment of smartphones. Here are the Best Upcoming Smartphones of 2017.

OnePlus 5

This has to be the most awaited smartphone of 2017. OnePlus 3 was just so successful that it received nearly perfect ratings from major critics. The 3T was just as successful and the Midnight Black variant sold out within no time. OnePlus 5 is coming out on June 22nd and almost all the specs have been confirmed. The CEO of the company has been putting the camera in the limelight and we are expecting some gorgeous looking shots from the dual cameras at the rear. Under the hood, we have the Snapdragon 835 along with a whopping 8GB of RAM. The 5.5-inch FullHD optic AMOLED display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. There are two 16MP cameras at the rear and an 8MP selfie shooter at the front. The one thing that slightly concerns me is that the phone looks a lot like the iPhone 7 Plus.

If you’re in India, you can get the device on June 22 at 4:30PM.

Google Pixel XL2

The successors to the Google Pixel has been supposedly canceled. But Google is working on a larger phablet and it is said to be the Google Pixel XL2. The specs of the phone have been confirmed through a GFXBench listing. It will obviously have the Snapdragon 835 under the hood along with a modest 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The rear camera is given as a 12MP shooter, but it will most probably flaunt a dual camera setup. The front camera is an 8MP selfie shooter. The phone will be made by LG.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2

Xiaomi Mi Mix brought out one of the most revolutionary designs in smartphone history. The near bezel less display and a screen to body ratio of 91% were just extraordinary. The phone uses a ceramic design with built-in speakers and sensors that work brilliantly well. The successor to the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 has just been confirmed by CEO Lei Jun and it will arrive this year. The phone will use the same ceramic design but we have a curved display in the offing. The bezels will also get narrower and the screen to body ratio is expected to reach 93%. If all this is true, we should have a beast of a smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy Note8

Samsung Galaxy Note7 was one of the best smartphones in the world and people still have the same opinion about it. But we all know what happened with the Note7 with all the explosions and stuff. It cost Samsung billions of dollars but they’ve come back strongly with the S8 and S8+. After the huge success of these two smartphones, Samsung wants to continue their dream run with the Note8. The phablet is rumored to be the first phone to feature the Snapdragon 836. It is also said to come with a 5.7-inch or 6.3-inch Infinite Display along with a dual 13MP rear camera.

Nokia 9

This should’ve happened years ago, but Nokia is coming out with some great devices this year. They already launched the Nokia 3310, Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6. Even though the Nokia 6 is the most expensive of the lot, it features decent specifications with one shortcoming, a lackluster chipset. But the built quality is just amazing and the camera produces some great shots. Most of the people are now waiting for the flagship which will be called Nokia 9. It is expected to come with the latest Snapdragon 835 along with 6GB of RAM and a 5.3-inch Quad HD display. It will also flaunt the mandatory dual cameras at the rear with a pair of 13MP shooters.

LG V30

I have said this time and again but I will repeat it nevertheless. LG V20 is the most underrated flagship of 2016. It is built extremely well, has some serious firepower under the hood and comes with an amazing set of cameras. The secondary display is quite handy but is not very useful, but I personally love it. They should probably move it to the bottom, because it is quite hard to access it on a 5.7-inch smartphone, even for a person with large hands like me. The successor of the LG v20, the V30, is expected to arrive this year with the Snapdragon 836, just like the Galaxy Note8. It will mostly feature the secondary display as well as the dual cameras with the professional features like its predecessor.

iPhone 8

Last, but not the least, we have the one and only iPhone 8 and this time it is going to be big. The latest and greatest iPhone yet will feature almost all of the trending features of 2017. The phone is said to have dual rear cameras, a touchscreen that spans the entire front portion and also a sleek build. That is not all. Apple has filed for patents with regard to the TouchID that will be allegedly present under the display. It is alleged that the screen will scan the fingerprint of the person using the phone and will lock the device if it doesn’t match with the owner’s fingerprint. If this turns out to be true, Apple will not have any trouble in gaining the top position on sales charts.
