Adorable Alolan Vulpix Pokémon Build-A-Bear: What’s the Fox Say?

Good news Poké-fans. Build-A-Bear Workshop is getting ready to launch another Pokémon plush character, featuring the wintry white and blue critter Alolan Vulpix.

The $60 set includes a 13-inch Alolan Vulpix plush, a matching fuzzy cape, adorable pajamas, and a sound effect pack. Oh, and they’ll toss in an exclusive Pokémon trading card just for good measure. That’s quite the Poké-bundle, and sure to be popular with serious fans.

The bundle will only be available online here starting on Thursday, September 13th. If for some reason you can’t get the online exclusive, you won’t have to miss out. You can save a bit of money by getting just the Alolan Vulpix plush ($28) and cape ($12.50) separately at Build-A-Bear Workshop stores beginning on the same date.

This is the ninth Pokémon offered by Build-A-Bear Workshop and The Pokémon Company International. The question is, have you caught them all?

Build-A-Bear Adds Squirtle in a Raincoat

Build-A-Bear has just added an adorable plush to their Pokémon collection that will gladly take your money. That would be Squirtle in a raincoat . It may just be the cutest thing ever and may just make up for your inability to catch them all.

Just be aware that this plush is an online exclusive. It comes with a Poke Ball hoodie, an exclusive trading card and the raincoat, and even makes six super Squirtley sounds:

Squirtle ever? It just might be. Theoretically you could take him out for rainy days walks thanks to that raincoat, but it is probably best to keep him inside where he is dry and safe.

Kylo Ren Build-a-Bear Won’t Kill Han Solo Bear

Leave it to Build-a-Bear Workshop to be constantly coming up with stuffed animals that my daughter will die without. The latest plush plaything that my daughter “needs” is this Kylo Ren bear, that looks just like the bad boy from The Force Awakens (if he were a teddy bear.)

The $35 bear features Ren’s iconic mask, and comes with the hood and cape as well.  You can get the soft “T” lightsaber as an accessory for another $12.

There’s also a complete set for $63 that includes a Star Wars bear, the Kylo Ren costume, lightsaber and a pair of black rubber boots.

Boba Fett Build-a-Bear Puts a Bounty on your Heart

Build-a-Bear Workshop is a place where I have spent more money than I want to even think about. If your kids (or you) are into stuffed animals and Star Wars, you will want to go by the mall and pick one of these up. This very special bear has print on its face that makes its head look like Boba Fett’s helmet.

Boba Bear comes dressed in his Mandalorian armor and wears a cape on back. You can add Star Wars sound effects as well. I hope one of the sound effects is Boba’s jetpack.

The bear sells for $35 (or $45 with his blaster), and if you lack a location in your local mall, you can order it already stuffed from the Build-a-Bear website.

Build-A-Bear Goes Ghostbusters: Ghost-Bear-Sters

Earlier this week was Sony’s Ghostbusters Day celebration, as the first film was released on June 8, 1984. So naturally Build-A-Bear Workshop unveiled a new Ghostbusters line to commemorate the occasion. It was only a matter of time. This line features Slimer, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, and a Ghostbusters Bear. Bear fans are going to love these.

Slimer and the Ghostbusters bear will be available in stores and online, but the one everyone want, aka Stay Puft, is a web exclusive. You can pre-order any of the three online through June 12 with an official launch in the U.K., Canada, and the U.S. on June 23.

The 7″ Slimer is $12.50(USD), the 19″ Marshmallow Man can be customized with several accessories, including a sound chip for $7 which plays the theme, and a “marshmallow scent” for $3.50. Uh. Okay. That probably smells horrible.  Other add-ons include a tan jumpsuit, Proton Pack, Ghostbusters theme song sound chip, Ghostbusters and Who Ya Gonna Call t-shirts, and that same Marshmallow scent. The Supernatural bear comes fully outfitted to bust ghosts for $56.50.

Yub Nub! Build Your Own Ewok at Build-A-Bear

Ewoks. They are the bane of the Empire’s existence. These furry little creatures have been known to take on elite Imperial soldiers and win. They will crush you with logs, set traps and catch you – even poke you with a stick. And now you can design your own Ewok at Build-A-Bear.

That’s right. A new 16″ plush Wicket is now available on the Build-A-Bear website and he’ll be in stores in the US and UK next week. Imperial soldiers need not apply.

If you want an even cooler version, you can also buy a special Wicket the Ewok 6-in-1 sound chip so you can make him say Ewok stuff like this. If you love these little fur-balls, you’ll want to get yourself one.

Build-A-Bear Workshop Announces Batman and Superman Outfits: Bearman

It looks like Build-A-Bear is getting in on the Batman v Superman craze. The custom toy show is releasing new Superman and Batman bears, costumes, and even a bear-sized plush Batmobile. These are great for cubs and adults. I can hardly bear it.

I think the coolest thing here is the Batmobile. You can put any of your stuffed animals in this vehicle and turn them into the Dark Knight.

You can get these new bears and accessories at Build-A-Bear Workshops or online at buildabear.com. I guess they will offer Justice League bears pretty soon as we get closer to that movie as well.

Build-A-Bear Pikachu Available for Pre-Order

Pokémon fans were excited when Build-a-Bear Workshop announced in October that customizable Pikachu dolls would soon be available and now they’ve shared the first official images of their Pikachu stuffed animal. The little yellow Pokémon looks pretty awesome.

You can start pre-ordering these exclusive Pikachu right now. You have two different options. You can make your own Pikachu, reserve it early and get a gift card that you can use to pick it up when it arrives in-store. If you get this one it comes with a Build-A-Bear Workshop Exclusive Pokémon TCG card.

The second option is a Web Exclusive Pikachu set that includes a 15-inch Pikachu, Poké Ball hoodie, and a Build-A-Bear Workshop Exclusive Pokémon TCG Card. You also get a Charizard hoodie and a 6-in-one Pikachu sound. Pretty cool no? Pokémon fans have been waiting for this.

Pikachu will be available at Build-A-Bear Workshop stores in North America, Europe, and Australia starting later this month.

Build-a-Bear Workshop to Shock Wallets in 2016 with Pikachu Stuffy

Up until she turned 10, my daughter was all about the stuffed animals. Apparently 10 is the age where stuffed animals become stuff for babies. Before that time, we were in the Build-a-Bear workshop at the mall so frequently that the girls working the counter knew her by name. Despite her outgrowing such things, I can only assume when this Pikachu hits the expensive stuffed animal store, I’ll probably be back there.

Starting next year in Build-a-Bear stores in North America, Europe, and Australia fans of Pokémon will be able to choose Pikachu. Not only can you stuff the little yellow whatsit, there will also be accessories to go with him.

Those accessories include a Poke Ball hoodie, Charizard costume, and a annoying as hell sound chip that we assume will say “Pika Pika”. Buyers of the animal will get a free Pokémon trading card too.

Build-a-Bear Now Has TMNT Plush Toys: Build-a-Mutant-Turtle

Some people find the look of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the upcoming film to be scary. They aren’t quite what everyone wanted. Maybe they should have looked more like these cute plush toys from Build-A-Bear. That’s right Build-A-Bear now has Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello, all soft and cuddly.

These guys look awesome and are probably the most clever new TMNT toys I’ve seen since we heard about the movie. As a cool bonus, their shell backpacks are removable.

And they have weapons, which are available as part of the toy or separately. You can also dress a bear up as Shredder!

It gets better. You can buy TMNT sleeping bags and hoodies for them. Buying toys for toys, it’s crazy, but I love it.
