This Jurassic Park Bunk Bed Will Cage Your Kids

Are your kids driving you crazy because they are all sugared up and acting like fast moving dinosaurs, tearing up your home? Contain them in this Jurassic Park inspired bunk bed. Well, contain one of them. The kid on top will still be allowed to roam free.

This concept from Dave’s Geeky Ideas recreates the cage used in the film. The lower bed’s door slides open and it even has lights and room for shelving inside. Dave always has the best geeky ideas. Even though it isn’t right to keep kids caged, it is a fun idea.

This would be a pretty cool piece of furniture if it really existed. As it is, this is a great concept.

TARDIS Bunk Bed: Time and Relative Dimension in Sleep

If you want to have some proper time-traveling adventures in your dreams, it helps to have a Doctor Who themed bed - like this bunk bed that looks like the TARDIS.

tardis bedWhy? Because like the Doctor said, “Bunk beds are cool. A bed. With a ladder. You can’t beat that.” I think we would all agree. I love how it says Geronimo on the ladder as well. Any kid would love to lay in this bed and dream of fighting off Daleks and Cybermen, while pretending that their bed is an actual TARDIS.

Whoever the kid is who gets to sleep in this bed, I’m jealous. I would definitely get more rest if I slept in one.

AT-AT Bunk Bed: Just Don’t Take the Legs out While I’m Sleeping

Look at that kid. That is one happy Padawan. You would be that happy too if this was your bunk bed. This kid gets to sleep in an AT-AT and doesn’t even have to worry about rebel snowspeeders bringing it crashing down to the floor.

Needless to say, this four-year-old’s dad is awesome. I don’t know if they live on Hoth, but this thing looks like it would keep you nice and warm. It took Derek Dutilly about 60 hours total to build this AT-AT bed out of plywood, masonite, MDF, PVC and a bit of florist’s foam for the details.

Pretty sweet. I love how the gun turrets turned out. It even has some stairs so that the kid can climb up and crawl in. This guy is an awesome parent.
