Burger King Social Distancing Crowns: Hold the Pickle, Hold the Coronavirus

When it comes to things we can do to mitigate the risks of the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing is definitely at the top of the list, right up there with wearing masks, washing your hands, and not touching your face. The further you stay away from other people, the lower the odds you can get their germs on you.

People and businesses all over the world are coming up with creative ways to keep people apart, with things like stickers on the floors at grocery stores, limiting foot traffic, and placing outdoor tables far apart. But I think this idea from Burger King Germany is my favorite so far.

The fast food chain is showing off a ridiculously oversized version of their iconic paper Burger King crown, which ensures people keep their distance. The hat appears to be made using eight of their regular paper crowns, along with two semi-circles of foamcore for a base. The design doesn’t look very difficult to replicate, assuming you could shake down your local Burger King for a bunch of paper crowns.

From the picture, it looks like these folks are less than 6 feet apart, so you might want to make yours even bigger. I wonder how large you could make one before it became completely unwearable while chowing down on your Whopper.

Lucky Charms Milkshake Brings All the Leprechauns to the Yard

(For full effect, you should hop down and hit play on the video below and let it play as you read.) Check out this milkshake, it’s the foodstuffs of childhood daydreams. Those glorious bastards over at Burger King have made up quite a bit for atrocities like their awful hot dogs and BK nuggets with the addition of the new Lucky Charms milkshake.

This thing has a vanilla base and is crammed full of those awesome Lucky Charms marshmallows. Apparently the shake also has some of the boring oat cereal bits in there as well, but Burger King had me at marshmallows. As an added bonus, it comes topped with whipped cream.

Those extra marshmallows in the picture above are apparently an addition by the SoCal Snack Hunters crew, but it should be sold like that from the get go. I want some Lucky Charms pretty badly right now.

Burger King Cheetos Chicken Fries Will Turn Fingers Orange

The fast food industry hasn’t been afraid to make some really weird snacks. Typically, these strange foods are offered in Japan, like those pumpkin and chocolate fries that McDonald’s offers. Now Burger King has rolled out Cheetos Chicken Fries, and they’re available right here in the good old U.S. of A.

I happen to think the chicken fries are the only thing worth eating at BK other than that epic Hershey’s Chocolate pie. These fries are exactly what you think they are, which is to say standard chicken fries rolled in orange Cheetos dust. They have 280 calories for an order, but exactly how many you get isn’t specified. I’m guessing it’s six or so, which is more fingers than an actual chicken has.

I can only assume they will turn your fingers super orange just like eating a bag of Cheetos.

LEGO Burger King Machine Dispenses an Entire Combo Meal

AstonishingStudios makes some great LEGO vending machines. If only we could have some of them in our neighborhoods to dispense fast food. Their latest creation is a Burger King vending machine that serves up Whoppers, fries, and even dispenses Coca-Cola. Have it your way! As long as your way is room temperature food and flat soda.

This vending machine is powered by a LEGO Mindstorms module hidden in the back. There’s even a motorized cash slot for collecting five bucks before giving you access to the fast food. It’s a whopper of a machine!

I really wish we had these everywhere, with the capability to keep the food hot and the drinks cold.
