Vlog 1 concept is an all-in-one, portable tool for vloggers to help you be the next influencer!

A lot of people now, especially the younger ones, have at one point or another tried or wanted to try vlogging. I myself have considered it for both professional and personal reasons. But one thing that has stopped me from going all out is that there is just so much to think about equipment-wise. When it comes to content or planning or promoting, I have no problems. But just thinking about the shooting and editing part is enough to make me just put it off indefinitely.

Designer: Stang .id

The designer thought about this problem that vloggers face: choosing the right equipment, setting it up, carrying all the equipment around, etc. He came up with a product concept that current and future vloggers will probably want to come true eventually. The Vlog 1 is a concept that combines a camera, a built-in gimbal for stability, a built-in microphone, space for a bigger battery, and all in a portable and sturdy package. There are no attachments or things to plug in so you can just go ahead and shoot and record whatever you want.

If you’re used to using a traditional camera, the button controls here will seem very familiar. It uses an old-school knob to switch modes so you won’t have to panic (or is that just me?) when you need to do something else while shooting. It has a built-in gimbal so you can shoot steady and the joystick lets you have control over the gyro movement when panning or tracking. And while you’re shooting your video, there’s a quick access button that will let you take pictures when needed.

The Vlog 1 also has a built-in flashlight that gives a similar effect to what the ubiquitous ring lights bring. This means you don’t need to carry around extra lights while you’re shooting. It also has a built-in mic that can shut out unwanted noise because of its padding. The battery should also last you longer, at least in theory. The best thing about this concept is that the device is pretty portable so you can carry it anywhere without spending minutes on setting everything up.

The device looks like a mini-robot or a character that will fit in Wall-E. Hopefully, if it becomes an actual product, the video and sound quality will also be great as those are probably the two most important things a vlogger needs.

Rota-Strap and Rota-Lock lets you carry your camera with comfort and confidence

If you want to level up your photography, you might want to grab this rope and lock duo that will let you bring your camera anywhere without worrying about theft.

Although there were predictions of doom and gloom in the early years of the smartphone, dedicated cameras haven’t gone extinct and will continue to play a critical role in the field of photography. Despite all the power they offer, however, there’s no argument that carrying a camera along isn’t exactly the most comfortable experience. With the Rota-Strap and its Rota-Lock companion, however, you pretty much have one strap to rule them all, leaving you free to concentrate on what matters the most: capturing moments without missing a beat.

Typical camera straps don’t actually offer much other than allowing you to hang your camera from your neck or your wrist. They’re also trivial to cut, which is a frequent strategy used by thieves to “cut-and-grab” your precious gear. viiu’s Rota-Strap addresses all of those while also giving photographers the freedom to choose how they want to carry their camera.

The Rota-Strap’s secret sauce is Dyneema fiber, a material that deceptively looks like a typical cord but is actually stronger than steel. This material makes the strap nearly impossible to cut but is also lightweight and comfortable on the skin. You’ll never have to worry about your strap accidentally breaking or tearing, potentially breaking your sensitive camera as well. And despite its strength, it’s pliant enough to roll or fold easily into your bag.

That Dyneema cord isn’t the only thing that gives the Rota-Strap its durability, though. The connectors that attach to the ball link on the camera are made from 7075 aluminum alloy, the same sturdy metal used on aircraft. While it’s tough as metal, the connector can also rotate 360 degrees, so you won’t end up with twisted straps. The connector is also covered with a rubber material, so it won’t scratch the surface of the camera. Together, these anti-cut and anti-twisting features make the Rota-Strap already one-of-a-kind, leaving the competition in its dust. It doesn’t stop there, however, and the accompanying Rota-Lock steps up the game even higher.

With these accessories, you can turn the Rota-Strap into a hand strap so that you’re ready to jump into action at a moment’s notice. You can also turn the strap into a wrist strap to let the camera dangle in style. Finally, you can attach the Rota-Lock to backpack straps to take a load off your neck and move it to the stronger muscles of your shoulders. In addition to giving you the freedom to carry your camera the way you need and want, it actually changes the way the weight of the camera is distributed, from a single point of the neck to two even points on the backpack straps.

The importance of being able to offload the weight to your shoulders can’t be stated enough. Almost all camera straps hang around your neck, which poses a real risk to your health, particularly to your spine. Professional cameras are already heavy, but the lenses you often attach double or even triple that weight. After many days of walking for long hours, that weight can do long-lasting harm to your neck and spine.

Preferring a powerful camera over a lightweight smartphone doesn’t mean you have to compromise on comfort and convenience. Thanks to the smart use of super-durable materials and creative product design, the Rota-Strap and Rota-Lock give you the confidence and peace of mind to carry your camera around with you wherever you go, ready to snap up photos or record videos in a blink of an eye. Best of all, a single Rota-Strap and all three Rota-Lock only cost $48 with this Kickstarter exclusive, leaving pro and amateur photographers fewer excuses to keep their cameras at home.

And, for those photography lovers, we’ve curated a collection of accessories that promise to function as the perfect sidekick to your DSLR. This bunch of accessories will elevate the functionality and usability of your camera, giving your pictures that extra professional edge and boost!

Looking quite like a miniaturized stage setup from Coachella, the Photon was designed to give your photography the next big hardware upgrade. With an incredible camera now being able to fit right in your pocket, it only made sense to make expert studio lighting accessible to everyone too. The Photon isn’t your regular lightbox. It’s a modular system of more than 2700 LEDs arranged within 75 LED blocks. You can trigger any arrangement of LED blocks at any time, lighting up your subjects/products in ways that you never imagined… and you don’t need to manually move lights to change your lighting setup. You can just press a few buttons on your smartphone to switch off one LED block at one location and trigger another one at a different location to dynamically change your light arrangement.

Meet RGKit Play, a set of delightfully modular robotic components that you can put together to create your own motion rig. Comprising all sorts of toys and tools like wireless motors, belts, pulleys, turntables, rails, light controllers, and sensors, RGKit Play lets you easily and effectively create rigs to film professional-style videos, move/animate your products, create motion sculptures, and even make stop-motion films without breaking the bank! RGKit Play puts you in the role of the DOP (Director of Photography) as the robots carry out your vision. You can shoot professional-looking videos, or even create stop-motion flicks using RGKit-compatible stop-motion software. Moreover, the kit even lets you build complex dioramas or kinetic art pieces, bringing your sculptures and illustrations to life by using moving, sliding, and other interacting modules to add motion to your art and designs!

Designed to echo the V4’s aesthetic, each ‘DSLR Cube’ can be used as a standalone carry-along pouch for when you just want to have a camera with you. If you really want to up your game, the V4’s additional accessories even include a passport case that snaps to the bag’s side and even though the bag is thoroughly weatherproof, an additional silicone coated nylon fabric rain cover shields your entire bag from the harshest rain, sleet, and snow… making your travel, adventure, and photography game absolutely hardcore!

Quite literally designed to be the most essential accessory to your phone, laptop, tablet, and even your DSLR, the MoovyGo works as a single solution to your charging needs, allowing you to plug all your devices into one single power source. The tech built within the MoovyGo establishes the power requirements of each device, so your laptop gets its appropriate amount of power, while the power supply to your phone, tablet, and DSLR are all calibrated to their specifications. It also houses within it a power bank, allowing you to charge your portable devices on the go, and even houses a 10W Qi wireless fast-charger on its upper surface, allowing you to quickly juice your smartphone, wearable, or your wireless earphones when the going gets tough.

The DJI FPV X is an RC camera car concept for Filmmakers designed by Parth Kashikar and DAAPworks and comes in handy for enhancing the ease of use and equipment safety. This cool idea came across when Parth participated in a student film project and identified the loopholes in the traditional systems. First up, the RC camera dolly has a larger platform to lower the center of gravity, thereby reducing rollovers’ risk at high speeds. The adaptive stabilization tech at the robotic camera pivot point helps in eliminating the shakiness too. Taking inspiration from the DJI VR headset, the person can control the camera movement by moving in the intended direction in the 3D space. Parth imagines using an existing DJI controller to drive the vehicle in any direction – even recording the motion paths to be replayed in case the intended shot is not achieved. The RC vehicle has easy to replace modular parts to make repairs convenient.

Moment’s Camera Organizer is ideal for storing cameras and lenses, while a battery pouch allows you to easily carry extra batteries, SD cards, and cables. The Tech Organizer and Mini Organizer offer storage for stuff like charging cables, power banks, headphones/earphones, so you can easily pop them out of your bag and carry them to your makeshift workspace, having all your work paraphernalia right on your desk instead of embedded inside your backpack.

I’m of the opinion that a camera is only as good as the person wielding it… so an accessory for the photographer makes as much a difference to the output as an accessory for the camera does. An unlikely product that’s poised to massively upgrade your capabilities as a photographer, the Langly Field Jacket was designed by photographers, for photographers. Its triple-layered construction allows the wearer to stay sheltered in the rain, wind, and even the snow. Developed around a proprietary technology called Weathershield, the jacket keeps water, dust, and snow out while still remaining breathable on the inside. While the build and the fabric allow photographers to overcome tough weather conditions, the design of the jacket itself only enhances that fact. On the outside, the jacket has four cargo pockets that can fit lenses as large as 200mm, while allowing you to holster your camera while you’re preparing yourself for a shot.

Sitting at the junction of style and security, Hardgraft’s chestnut-colored Frame Camera Bag comes with an all-leather exterior and a protective padded melange grey wool interior. Its universal size makes it ideal for all kinds of SLRs, and a padded divider even gives you ample storage for additional lenses and other accessories. The Frame Camera Bag’s all leather construction truly gives it a distinct appeal, with its unified design made entirely from that chestnut brown Italian tanned leather. The bag comes with an adjustable leather strap and even sports a reverse nylon zipped pocket on the side for any other belongings you may have on you.

Designed to be modular, functional, expandable, durable, and versatile, the OneMo has an answer for any sort of scenario. The bag comes with a spacious 25L inner that can be infinitely segregated using modular walls, allowing you to carefully pack and secure your belongings. Whether it’s a camera, a microphone, an expensive lens, or just a pair of clothes, these modular walls flex and bend to form the layout you need, changing every time you change your gear. Modular compartments aside, the OneMo even comes with its own detachable storage unit which transforms into a secondary shoulder bag for stuff like drones, lenses, etc.

The Pinhole Pro comes with completely machined metal construction. The absence of a glass lens makes it more resilient and impervious to damages like scratches, smudges, etc. What’s the most interesting is that the Pinhole Pro features a variable aperture, with pinhole sizes going all the way from 0.1mm to 0.8mm in diameter. The pinhole diameter is adjustable by the dial around the lens, allowing you to play with multiple pinhole diameters, allowing for real-time experimentation and manipulation, a feature that doesn’t exist in any model so far. Smaller pinholes provide crisp details but require a lot of light, while larger pinholes are great for shooting vintage, Hitchcock-esque videos!

Smartphone camera accessories designed to upgrade your photography to a professional level!

My husband is a photography enthusiast, which means I am well aware of the extensive and complicated world of camera accessories. He started out with a purist approach, using only his DSLR’s actual clicks and not editing beyond the basics to get his desired output, but that was before he got a good camera smartphone and the ease of usage added a new dimension to his process. Smartphone camera has become the principal factor in choosing our desired phone, with the functionalities the phone provides being taken for granted over the ever-growing need to capture, document, and share our lives with the world. Whether your passion is to click photos of your food, taking a selfie, documenting your travel, macro photography or even portrait photos, the accessories in this collection are the boost your setup needs to give your photos that professional edge!

The ShiftCam ProGrip comes with a universal gripping mechanism that allows you to clip any smartphone onto it and turn it into a pro-shooter. It features a Bluetooth shutter button that’s perfectly positioned so that you can click images with your index finger, and a grip that’s so inviting, you’re more likely to focus on photography rather than accidentally dropping your phone (it’s a real concern, believe me). The grip comes with a swivel joint that allows you to flip the phone over into portrait mode while you’re holding it in landscape, giving you varying degrees of freedom and the ability to shoot in a way that’s comfortable to you. Now that we’ve covered the basic stuff, let’s get to why the ShiftCam ProGrip stands out from brands like Pictar or Moment when it comes to providing the best DSLR-like experience.

Styled like most light-boxes, Iaroslav Neliubov’s Photon is a 5-sided cube that you can photograph products in. A canvas/backdrop hangs from the panel at the back to the base, giving you a clean background for your products – but what’s really exciting is the Photon’s light-setup. The Photon’s remaining panels are, in fact, entirely made up of LEDs from top to bottom covered with a frosted diffuser-surface. These LEDs, connected to a centrally-controlled source, can be triggered to give you drop-down and side-lighting. Depending on your product, its shape, size, orientation, and the quality of its surfaces, you can trigger different combination of light blocks, creating dynamic or uniformed lighting that mimics the versatility of having an entire light setup with 5-6 lamps. You can save lighting presets or access light presets from Photon’s library, and even animate the light blocks to really make product photography interesting!

Al Morrow & VERT Design’s BIGSOFTI comes with a universal clip that fits all leading smartphone, tablet and laptop brands. It also has a shoe mount with 1/4″-20 thread to fit all cameras, tripods and light stands. And lastly, if your needs revolve around webinars and zoom calls, then this handy light also has a 3M Adhesive Mount for computer monitors and other general surfaces. You won’t need two hands to hold your device because the light only weighs 75 grams which makes it portable without strain. Control your lighting angle by up to 45 degrees with the rotating barrel connector built into all accessory mounts. BIGSOFTI runs for 95 minutes at maximum brightness in one charge – portable AND powerful! Good lighting not only makes for the best selfies (hello quarantine dating) but it also makes you and your content look more professional. Be it for personal needs like a FaceTime/Zoom calls or for your videos YouTube/TikTok/Instagram; if they look better and you go viral, you will be thankful to BIGSOFTI!

Meet the Color Match Card… an innocuous-looking card with a grid of colored swatches and a hollow cutout in the middle. All you do is place the card on an object who’s color you want to scan and point your camera at it. The Pantone Connect app does the rest, automatically analyzing the color within the hollow cutout and giving you matching Pantone color values that you can either document or save within the Pantone Connect app or even send directly to a palette that you can access using Adobe’s suite of creative tools. The tech behind the Color Match card is pretty simple. The colorful swatches (and the tracking markers around it) help the Pantone app calibrate the way it captures colors, allowing you to accurately grab hues in all sorts of lighting conditions with great accuracy.

Foldio 3

With the Foldio3, that tongue-tantalizing photograph is just literally a portfolio-case and 10 seconds away. While most traditional photo set-ups comprise a room-full of equipment and hours of setting up, the Foldio3’s innovative design puts all of that into a small flat-packed case that can fit right under your arm. Open it out and assemble it using the magnetic locks and you have yourself a studio-grade light box for your product photography. On the top of the box are 3 LED strips too, negating the need for those massive bulky studio lights. The Foldio3 comes with two backdrops too, black and white, depending on the kind of shot you need. You can even use your own green backdrop for those green-screen applications.

Literally the size of a collapsed selfie stick, the Lumapod by Martin Grabner comes with 3 incredibly small legs and a long pole that’s fortified by three Kevlar wires that keep the tripod upright. This arrangement not only allows the Lumapod to collapse down to an extremely tiny form factor, it also makes setting the tripod up easier and dramatically faster. As a profession or a hobby, photography is always highly time critical. The amount of time it takes for you to set your gear up can often cost you that perfect shot. The Lumapod’s design brings the tripod setup time from minutes to a mere 4 seconds, even verbally simplifying the process to three words. Twist, pull, set. Lumapod’s aluminum frame is both light and sturdy, and the Kevlar cords hold the tripod up using tensile strength.

Kodak’s Smartphone Photography Kit has everything you need to take stunning pictures. They add to your phone’s ability to create great images by giving you depth, lighting, and stability. The kit comes as a collective of three accessories (which can be bought separately too), namely a mini tripod specifically for smartphones, a portrait ring-light that clips onto your phone for great low-light selfies, and a set of 2 clip-on smartphone lenses to give your phone the ability to click ultra-wide and macro images, allowing you to either look at the bigger picture, or to zoom into minute details. With Kodak’s comprehensive smartphone photography kit, you can take that powerful camera in your pocket and click pictures that are incredibly stable, thanks to the tripod, or have a beautiful diffused glow, courtesy the ring light, or just explore the world through literally a different set of lenses! It’s a Kodak Comeback!

Developed around a proprietary technology called Weathershield, the jacket keeps water, dust, and snow out while still remaining breathable on the inside. While the build and the fabric allows photographers to overcome tough weather conditions, the design of the jacket itself only enhances that fact. On the outside, the jacket has four cargo pockets that can fit lenses as large as 200mm, while allowing you to holster your camera while you’re preparing yourself for a shot. The Langly also comes with a tether system that attaches to various accessories, like a memory-card holder with space for as many as 7 different memory cards, a DSLR battery pouch, as well as a separate battery pouch for your flash. Additionally, it even comes with a lens-cap holder (and even a lens wipe cloth), so you’re never rummaging around in your backpack to store/retrieve accessories. The jacket comes with an RFID lining around the pockets too, letting you store your wallet, cards or passport in easy-to-access spots that’s secure even from digital theft. With the Langly, every object is always at arm’s length, and can be accessed without as much as looking away from your viewfinder.

The VIEWPT (pronounced Viewpoint) VR180 NANO is a small, portable dual-lensed camera that was designed to mimic human eyes. With two identical 180° lenses placed a few calculated inches apart, the VIEWPT VR180 NANO captures a left and right channel just like your eyes do. Bring that into a VR headset and you don’t just see images, you see a point of view. The pictures and videos you capture using the VIEWPT NANO feel incredibly realistic because you actually perceive depth in them, something your iPhone or Samsung Galaxy phone can’t do just yet. The most they can do is perform edge-detection to create a foreground and background, but the VIEWPT NANO’s images are in real, cinema-grade stereoscopic 3D. The fisheye lenses cover most of human peripheral vision, allowing you, as a consumer or a content creator, to explore a format that is still reserved for professionals rather than consumers. The VIEWPT NANO sits right on your smartphone, letting you film video just the way you would with your phone’s camera.

Defox’s 3D printed Periscope case does a pretty neat thing. It repositions your camera so you can look down at your phone while record what’s happening ahead of you. Essentially, you’re not pointing your phone’s camera at the subject being shot, but rather, are filming or shooting imagery with your phone in a much more natural manner. This interesting deviation allows your phone to become an even more accessible device because now your phone’s literally an action camera! You can mount your phone on handlebars or even place it on your car’s dashboard and the phone’s case uses a 45° mirror to film things that are located at a 90° angle. The case lets you capture your ride handsfree, because you don’t need to hold your phone in position anymore.

Ultimate Action Cam

The E-Clips video camera expands on the capabilities of the compact handheld with an easy-to-use system of quick-release mounts. The snap-and-go design makes it possible to seamlessly transition between uses in seconds. Snap to a bike, attach to a helmet, or mount it on any other surface and control power and recording options wirelessly using the included digital wristband!

All-In-One Videography Tool

As DSLR cameras have expanded their use beyond still photography to high definition videography, so has the need for accessories that allow for a variety of movement when recording. The Indieshot DSLR incorporates a steadicam, boom camera mount for high shots, glide track for pan and push shots, shoulder mount, and tripod all into one compact, low production cost peripheral.
