How to Create a Dust-Free Home

1. Clean with a Microfiber Cloth

Microfiber cloth is one of the best options because it has both positively and negatively charged fibers on its surface which attracts dust and dirt as you wipe. Note that microfiber cloth can remove nearly 99% of surface bacteria and is safe to use because you only need water and chemicals to clean with it. Opt for premium quality microfiber cloths, make sure they are damp after use, and rinse them after each use.

2. Close the Windows

Opening windows briefly for fresh air can lead to increased dust indoors. Dust, carried in through doors and windows via pollen, mold spores, and airborne pollutants, accumulates visibly on windowsills. To reduce this issue, keep windows closed, especially during windy days.

Air purifiers work by purifying the surrounding air through air filtration and capture particles like dust, pollen, and toxins. Most of the air purifiers incorporate a fan for air circulation and are available in various shapes and sizes. 5. Wash the Bed Sheets

Periodically wash your sheets as they contribute to a dusty home, as bedding has the tendency to accumulate dead skin cells and creates an ideal environment for dust mites. Wash bedsheets and pillowcases at least once a month. In case there are pets, the sheets should be washed every 3 or 4 days. Blankets, comforters, and mattress pads should be washed every month, while the pillows and mattresses should be cleaned every season.

6. Remove the Carpet

Consider switching to hard-surface flooring like wood, tile, stone, or vinyl during redecoration, as carpets harbor and release dust with each step, making maintenance easier.

7. Damp Wipe the Floor

The remedy involves installing a humidifier, whether it’s a whole-house system or a smaller version for individual rooms. 9. Eliminate Clutter

Sleek electric q-tip gently cleans out the wax from inside your ear

I’ll just confess over here that I’m terrified of using a Q-tip. The last time I tried using one was back in college – I could feel like my ear needed cleaning, so I picked an earbud up and carefully went at it. I ended up pushing the wax further into my canal, and suddenly I could barely hear out that ear because of the wax blockage. A doctor finally helped me out, and told me something I remember to this day. That Q-tip isn’t meant for in-ear usage. It’s a convenient thing everyone takes for granted, but if you ever pick up a box and actually read the instructions, it specifically states that the Q-tip’s design is made for cleaning AROUND the ear, and not inside it.

WAXOFF takes a much more precise and no-nonsense approach to ear-cleaning. No larger than an electric toothbrush, the WAXOFF is an electric Q-tip that uses a rotating head with a helical pattern that gently scoops and pushes out any wax inside your ear, instead of accidentally pushing it in. The Circle Smartwatch’s tilted body and minimalist design give it an aesthetic advantage

With an approach that strikes a fine balance between tech, sensibility, and sheer artistry, the Circle Watch is truly #smartwatchgoals. It’s beautiful to look at, has an edge-to-edge circular display, runs an incredibly clean UI, and comes with a body that looks unusual at first, and then makes a world of sense after.

The Circle Watch’s body sits on the watch-strap at an angle, leaning towards the user. Designed to make it easier to read the time without tilting your wrist too much, the Circle watch’s own inherent 15° tilt gives you a clear view of the watch’s always-on display at all times. This tilt also creates space for a button right behind the Circle’s body, allowing it to remain otherwise thin and minimalistic. The button hides from view (unlike in the Apple Watch, where the crown forms a significant part of the watch’s aesthetic), giving you a smartwatch that just feels clean and sophisticated, and focuses on the good stuff with a convenient, tilted UX and a boundless, edge-to-edge UI.

This electric q-tip gently cleans the wax from inside your ear

No larger than the size of an electric toothbrush, the Clean focuses on personal hygiene by allowing you to clear your ear canals of dirt and wax. The handheld device comes with a design that allows you to use it on your own, without external supervision. Its silicone body is soft, malleable, non-toxic, and easy to clean, while the rotating head at its tip features a helical pattern that rotates to gently push out any wax inside your ear without hurting you.

The Clean’s unique design makes it more effective than a q-tip. Its rotating head burrows wax away and out of the canal, and makes sure you never accidentally push wax INTO your ear… all while being incredibly easy to clean once used. You can take a wet-wipe to it or even use hot water to sterilize the tip, allowing you to use it multiple times, unlike cotton buds which need to be thrown away after a single use.

Do you know what the dirtiest place on earth is? No, it isn’t some landfill in some underdeveloped country, it’s right under your fingers. Keyboards, over time, become so dirty, they might as well be the dirtiest places on earth. Hair, skin cells, food crumbs, dust, dead insects, oil, snot, these are just some of the things that get trapped under your keys, and almost never ever get cleaned… because cleaning between keys is just one of those annoyingly difficult things to do. I wouldn’t blame you for the lack of trying, but it isn’t easy cleaning the stuff that falls between the keys of your keyboard.

That’s why there’s Jung Min Kim’s Magnetic Keyboard comes in. Designed for easy cleaning, the Magnetic Keyboard can be pulled apart in two and wiped, scrubbed, or even washed under running water. Rather than relying on mechanical action, Jung Min Kim’s keyboard design uses magnetic repulsion to provide the springy-ness of the keys. The top half contains the keyboard’s upper frame, with the keys built in, while the bottom half has the circuit-board housed in a water-tight body, with magnetic heads on its upper surface. Clip both pieces together and you have a fully functional keyboard with an unusual spring action (I assume there won’t be any clickety-clack feedback), but more importantly, you have a keyboard you can pull apart occasionally and wipe down with a piece of cloth. Why? Because you’re a hygienic person… that’s why.
