Bike Wheel Bow: Nock! Draw! Loose! Pedal!

The Bike Wheel Bow is a unique weapon made from an old bicycle wheel. Obviously this isn’t going to work like your typical bow. It is more of a bow-like-sling-shot, relying on the stretch of the string, which is rubber tubing. Here is how to make one should you find yourself with a bike, but need a weapon.

First you chop up a bicycle wheel and remove the spokes, until you have a semi circle. Then use some eyelets to make it look like a compound bow. Using rubber medical tubing with a section of bicycle inner-tube in the middle will give you a fold and let you shoot arrows without nocks.

Its creator Darren Hall says that the rubber tends to stick on the eyelets, so it might be a good idea to lube them up before shooting. Now you can make a weapon from a bike. Awesome!

12 Gauge Compound Bow Makes Archery Even More Deadly

Archers take a lot of flack because in battle they are basically useless. They are good for ranged warfare – in numbers, but once an enemy gets close enough, archers are dead meat. An archer with a 12 gauge compound bow? Well, that would make for a far more deadly archer.

This guy rigged a compound bow to fire an attached shotgun instead of shooting arrows. Does he really need a reason? It looks like it works by using the bow’s string as the firing pin for the shell. Let go of the string and it fires the attached shotgun.

It seems to work just fine, but I’m sure it isn’t accurate from the looks of things. Forget stealth and accuracy. This bow is all about power.  IF this thing is even real. If it is real, this is an awesome hack.
