Perhaps our appliances should be built around this sentiment rather than to be shoved in a corner! The Family Multifunction Cooker is a perfect example of a communal cooking appliance. It’s cleverly designed to be operated by a group who can take equal part in the process. Whether you’re steaming, barbecuing, bailing or simply warming something up, this portable appliance makes it easy to share the experience with friends or a partner, even from the comfort of the couch!

Get in Touch With the Weather!

You can read the weather… OR you can feel it! That’s the idea behind this imaginative concept by Ellie Zeng. Rather than look to the TV, a newspaper, or app to tell you whether you should bundle up or sport your shorts, this clever design recreates the outdoor conditions in a compact microclimate that you can feel with your hands before venturing outside.

The top section features visual indicators of the weather in the form of sun, clouds, rain and snow. Near the bottom, users can actually feel a breeze, rain drops, ice crystals and the exact temperature so they know how to dress for the day. The weeks entire forecast is conveniently displayed on the easy-to-read interface so you can feel just what kind of week it’s going to be!

A Breakfast Appliance to Start the Day Off Right

Breakfast comes in all shapes and sizes no matter where you live! Designed with this in mind, the Breakfast Machine is your one-stop-shop for cooking cross-cultural breakfast cuisine.

This hybrid appliance features a steamer, oven, griddle and, of course, a toaster packed all into one unit. This way, you can cook Eastern items like stuffed buns and porridge AND Western items like steak, eggs and toast all at the same time! Only slightly larger than a toaster oven or microwave, it’s perfectly sized to be your countertop breakfast companion!
