$1.5-Million Bugatti Chiron Watch Has a Tiny Functional W16 Engine Inside

Meticulously crafted by jeweler and watchmaker Jacob & Co, the Bugatti Chiron Blue Sapphire Crystal watch costs $1.5-million and features a tiny replica of a Bugatti W16 engine inside, complete with 16 moving pistons. The watch took over a year to build and features a 51-jewel movement and 578 handmade and decorated pieces in total, almost all of which are visible through the translucent case. I can’t help but feel like it belongs in a museum.

What a thing of beauty. You really have to watch the video to fully appreciate just how finely crafted this thing is. Of course, for $1.5-million, it better be. Me? I wear a cheap $49 watch, but it does function as a TV remote as well. Which, I’ve since found out, is a great way to get kicked out of bars during football games.

How awesome would it feel to wear this watch? I bet it would feel amazing. Partially because the watch is so cool, but mostly because you’re so rich you can afford a $1.5 million watch to go with your $3 million sports car. That’s a life I can hardly imagine but daydream about twice a month when I’m spending my whole paycheck on lottery tickets.

This BBQ Grill Is Built Into a Jet Engine

Think the BBQ grill on your back deck is impressive? Get a load of this custom-built grilling station, which was built into the side of a jet engine. As a bonus, if this thing gets hit by a bird, you can just toss it on the grill and hit it with some barbeque sauce.

The grill was built by the Delta Airlines TechOps team in Atlanta, Georgia, using scrap parts from a Pratt & Whitney PW2000 jet engine from a 757. Both sides of the engine can open up to reveal a grill and workstation, and each side has its own cooking station. The finished grill was installed at the Delta Air Lines Operations Control Center.

The video below shows the motorized door as it opens up, along with some cool blue illumination on the hinges.

This is a truly incredible build, and should make any backyard grillmaster jealous.

This two-wheeler literally has helicopter-engines because why not…

“Over the top” is a phrase that comes to mind when one looks at the TMC Dumont for the very first time. There’s nothing conventional about the bike. It features two massive 36-inch wide hubless wheels on either end of its edgy, characteristic body that features… wait for it… a helicopter engine. Sitting rather visible on the Dumont’s body is a 300-horsepower Rolls-Royce helicopter engine that literally puts the ‘chopper’ in this chopper!

With looks that could proverbially kill, and an engine that could literally kill, the TMC Dumont is a passion project of retired F1 driver, Tarso Marquez. There’s no way this 300hp bike would ever be street legal (that much horsepower could just as well kill the rider), but I’ll admit that with its Tron aesthetic and absolutely, ridiculously over-the-top build, the Dumont is certainly worth appreciating (even from afar, because there’s no way you can escape the sound of a helicopter engine)! What’s next Tarso, a Lockheed afterburner?

Let this coffee-maker ‘fuel’ you through your weekdays!

porsche_engine_espresso_1

If an 18-carat gold-crafted V12 engine-shaped coffee maker is perhaps a little too opulent for your tastes, maybe a Porsche 993 GT2 Cup flat-six engine replica coffee maker might just do it for you. Styled to be a spitting image of the 993 GT2’s flat-six engine, this coffee machine from Super Veloce goes for the mess-free capsule-based coffee dispensing system. Just pop a pod in the back, and place your espresso cup at the location of the clutch and out comes a spectacular brew that’s just waiting to fuel you through your day… and given that it models itself on the 993, the coffee machine is limited to just 993 pieces!
