This Revolutionary Tap Recycles Water From The Sink For Flushing The Toilet

Bathtime is one of my favorite times of the day! It’s that duration of the day when I get some peace and quiet from the world, and I can truly pamper and take care of myself. Having a beautifully designed bathroom with thoughtful designs will only amplify this special time of the day. These products can make a huge difference in our everyday bathroom experience. And an excellent addition to your bathroom could be the Orbital Tap by Orbital Systems.

Designer: Orbital Systems

Designed by Swedish company Orbital Systems, this innovative tap system recycles water from the sink for flushing the toilet. Dubbed the Orbital Tap, this one-of-a-kind tap saves 100 percent of the washbasin water and then redirects it to the toilet for flushing, which basically means that clean drinking water isn’t used for flushing. In turn, this tap helps to save water, and this excellent approach offers a return on investment for users on average within a period of five years.

The smart system is quite easy to install, and it is typically wall-mounted. It includes a faucet as well as a control dial with a touchpad located on the sink. Users can control and adjust the flow by turning the dial or utilizing the touchpad. The touchpad allows users to choose from different water temperatures, as well as other settings. The tap is available in a variety of finishes ranging from black and white, to brass, chrome, and brushed stainless steel.

The tap can seamlessly and harmoniosuly integrate with different smart home systems, and it comes in a whole range of presets and customizations. The tap is an ingenious design that helps in saving water and also protects the planet. In the words of Orbital Systems, the tap “does good deeds for the planet, for yourself, and for your economy. ” If you’re looking for a sleek, good-looking, revolutionary and not to mention eco-friendly bathroom fixture, then look no further than the Orbital Tap. It looks great in your bathroom, while also ensuring clean water isn’t wasted in flushing.

This minimalist table lamp design was inspired by water droplets and kitchen faucets

Faucet Light is a minimalist light fixture design that mimics the look of water droplets forming beneath a faucet’s spout.

We’ve each suffered through the monotonous drip of a leaky faucet at some point. It’s like clockwork and we can’t do anything about it but stare and wait for the plumber. Industrial designer Jaewan Park must have found some inspiration during the waiting game as his new lamp design resembles a kitchen sink faucet and the bulbous water drop that forms beneath its spout. Aptly dubbed the Faucet Light, Park’s new light design finds practicality and an artful design through subtle details and joyful aesthetics.

Designer: Jaewan Park

Finished in ceramic steel, Faucet Light features a glossy base to emulate the look of ripples on a still pool of water. An exposed, transparent glass reflector hosts the light fixture’s main light bulb and provides both area and focal lighting.

As Park explains, the light dimming mechanism resembles the look of a water spout to be intuitive by design, “By rotating the end tip of the tube 180-degrees, the glass reflector can be moved into the tube to switch the mode from area lighting to focal lighting in order to meet various possibilities.”

Rising to around 16 inches in height, Faucet Light maintains a slim body to fit atop most tabletops, even crowded work desks. The light fixture keeps the same shape as a kitchen sink faucet, giving the lamp an edge of intuitive usability for every user to feel confident when using it. Describing the design in his own words, Park describes, “Faucet Light is a tabletop light design concept that visually inspired from an image that water drop hanging on the faucet to achieve both functionality and joyful aesthetics at the same time.”

Altered: Nozzle Is A Misting Faucet That Conserves 98% Of Your Water

nozzle-1

Look, we’re a peoples that likes to waste. But it doesn’t have to be that way and efforts like the Altered: Nozzle are really good ways to move in the right direction. It’s a special faucet that allows you to save up to 98% of the water you would normally use. It does this by turning your regular flow into a fine mist; this should be enough to wash your hands and even rinse off some dishes. If you need a bigger flow for anything, like filling up a glass of water, you simply wise the nozzle and open up the floodgates. Mind you, even at the higher flow rate, you’ll still be saving around 75% of the water you’d normally use. It will be available in three different EU/US standard sizes: Regular, Junior and TomThumb, and allegedly installs in 30 seconds. Currently on Kickstarter, the Atered: Nozzle should be available in December of this year. It’s a kr324 (that’s 324 Swedish Krona, or about $38) pledge.

Dual Stream Faucet Lets You See the Hot and Cold Streams Combine

dual stream faucet Dual Stream Faucet Lets You See the Hot and Cold Streams Combine
Normally with a bathroom faucet, the magic of combining the hot and cold water streams into one is contained within the faucet itself. You turn the knobs and out comes nice warm water. What goes on inside the faucet is a mystery we might never solve- lol. But with the Pavati Tap faucet design, the “magic” happens right before your eyes. The y-shaped faucet lets both streams flow into a single visually appealing waterfall in your sink.

It’s a striking modern design, contemporary and slightly minimalist if that’s possible. And you usually don’t see faucets in white, which is unique. It’s a little unclear to me exactly how you turn this faucet on and off (maybe turn the top parts?) but that’s just a minor detail, right? iTap Phone Charging Faucet

itap iTap Phone Charging Faucet
Thumbs Up was showing off their latest gadget at New York Toy Fair 2013, the iTap. This little charger looks like a faucet but actually plugs right into any outlet. From the “tap” comes a wire to charge up your iPhone. Let the electricity flow like water! Pretty clever wall charger, and highly appropriate for those who charge their phone in the bathroom anyway (me). Keep an eye out, it should be released in the next few months- it’s not even on their website yet.

Running Water Faucet iPhone/iPad Stand

Make your iPad or iPhone clearly stand out with this running water faucet stand. Designed by Nendo for Japanese accessory maker Elecom, it’s made of polycarbonate plastic with ABS faucet parts. If you asked me the faucet looks like it’s backwards- the water should be pouring out of the iPad. But it’s still pretty neat.
