The Chilli K188 Phone Doubles as a Fidget Spinner

Fidget spinners have been done to death, so I was pretty sure I was never going to write about them again. But this gadget is just too silly not to mention. What you’re looking at is what is purportedly the world’s first cell phone that doubles as a fidget spinner.

The Chilli K188 is a very basic phone, but what makes it unique is its propeller blade shape and a spinny ball bearing mechanism in its middle. This setup lets you fidget about with your phone between calls. I suppose you could use it during calls too, but that would probably result in some pretty annoyed people on the other end of the line, what with you ignoring them and the buzzing bee sound they’re sure to be listening too while you stop to work out your boredom.

Since it’s such a simple phone, it’s shockingly cheap, selling for around 1100 Indian rupees – which works out to about $20 US dollars. They’ve got them available on Amazon India, but I’m not sure if there’s a way to get one shipped to the states. I suppose that’s a good thing.

Fidget Spinner iPhone Case

The must-have toy of 2017 meets the must have accessory of- well of every year since early humans started dropping their iPhones and cracking the screens. That’s got to be back in the caveman days or something, who can really remember a time before iPhones anyway? Not me. The Fidget Spinner iPhone Case is actually quite practical at both protecting your phone and keeping your fingers and mind occupied. It’s basically just a standard thin case with a fidget spinner attached to the back. Side view:

You can use the fidget spinner while it’s attached to the case either by putting your phone down and spinning it, or just spin it while you hold and use the phone. They claim the high quality bearings will spin for 3 minutes. I suppose you could even hold the fidget spinner part and spin your phone, although that might not be the best idea since you phone could go flying off. That’s because the fidget spinner is detachable:

Just in case there was a time when you didn’t want to fidget spin, you could leave it at home. Or detach and give it to your kids (which is a total win, they’re no longer borrowing your phone to keep themselves occupied. You get the phone, they get the spinner. Spinner winner chicken dinner.). Comes in a few different colors and fits various models of the iPhone (clickthrough below and scroll to the related items to see the other choices).

Mega Fidget Spinner Made from Other Fidget Spinners

Man, I hate fidget spinners. They are so stupid. In fact, I’m only sharing this one to illustrate how stupid this whole thing is. Then I hope to never do a fidget spinner article again. Anyway, at least this guy did something creative with them, aside from just fidgeting like a moron.

This is a fidget spinner made from other fidget spinners, which now becomes some kind of Transformer-evolution-mutant fidget spinner. It was made by Louis Weisz, who needed only an order of fidget spinners and trip to Home Depot to pull of this crazy spinning toy. He combined them into one giant fidget spinner to rule them all. Honestly, as much as I hate this fad, this build is really cool.

He needs to add more. Then more. Then more, until he has created a monster spinner that will never be outdone.
