The Ice View asks the question “what if your phone’s flip cover was see-through? The purpose of a flip cover is to guard the screen from any accidental impact, but that pretty much means you can’t see squat until you flip it open. Flip covers with circular or squarish holes don’t make sense either. It kind of defeats the purpose if your cover doesn’t completely guard your screen right? Well the HTC Ice View cover’s just what we all need. Using cleverly engineered PolyUrethane, the cover is actually translucent. But when rested on the screen, it allows you to see necessary information displayed on your lock screen. What’s better, it’s scratch and impact resistant, AND TOUCH SENSITIVE! Which pretty much puts it high above the competition.

A classy looking metal blip on the bottom left not only provides space for branding, it also conceals the magnet that unlocks your phone when you flip it over. Neat! Ain’t it?!

If you rushed out to buy a Galaxy S III (or are waiting to buy one) but got skittish over decking it out with extras, it's time to relax. MobileFun has volunteered to show a quintet of the Android 4.0 phone's official accessories on-camera to get a feel for how they work. Samsung's desktop dock, battery charger and flip cover all get the video treatment, but the highlights are the WiFi Display Hub and C-Pen. The wireless hub sadly isn't shown with a live Galaxy S III to demo, but gives a feel for just how minuscule it is next to a TV. However, the C-Pen is mostly notable for working only with Samsung's latest: there's no way to wield it as an upscale Galaxy Note stylus. All of the accessories are already on sale, although it might be wise for Americans to just watch the videos below until they have real phones in their hands later this month.

Mad Catz unleashes the Wii U accessories at E3, we go hands-on

Eagerly awaiting the launch of the Wii U? You're not alone. Mad Catz is ready, as the outfit has recently announced a set of accessories for the aforementioned console. Here at E3 2012, we were able to get a closer look at the entire family from the charging docks right on down to the TRITTON Kunai headset. While only the set(s) of cans is a finalized design, the outfit says the stands that will recharge your controllers that we saw are nearly complete. However, the FlipCover that we viewed was still a working prototype -- the same goes for the FPS controller that we were able to sneak a peek at. So, what about pricing and availability? The company is only offering that the Kunai for Wii U will set you back $50 when it ships.
