Angler Fish Luminescent Flip-Flops: Slide Into The Deep Sea

Inspired by the deep sea angler fish, these slides from HelloSlippers feature a cartoon version of the goofy-looking fish, complete with a glow-in-the-dark lure dangling above your feet. Granted, I’m not sure what you’re going to catch wearing these at night, but I’d count my toes afterward.

The slides are available in eleven different colors and six different sizes that fit feet from a women’s 4.5 to a men’s 12.5. They also include a shark fin to replace the angler fish’s lure (seen below), effectively making them two pairs of slides for the price of one! Personally, I’m going to wear one shark and one angler fish slide. And, if I’m being perfectly honest, probably on the wrong feet.


Are they bright enough to light my way to the fridge for a midnight snack without having to turn all the lights on between the bedroom and kitchen to prevent ghost attacks? You can rest assured I plan on finding out! And if they do, maybe my wife will stop making me sleep in the guest bedroom.

Perfect for any occasion (especially formal ones), Flip Flobsters are lobster-inspired slides made in the likeness of the large crustaceans. It probably goes without saying, but I already ordered a pair in each color before I even started writing this.

There’s no question these will be a hit at any summer cookout, particularly if it’s a seafood cookout. Guests will probably be talking about your Flip Flobsters for weeks! At least that’s what I hope they’ll be talking about, and not how I accidentally set myself on fire being overzealous with the lighter fluid.

Couple the sandals with a pair of lobster claw-inspired grilling mitts, and you’re the total package! The total package being someone who’s becoming an actual lobster, just so we’re clear. Just add some antennas and a tail and I’ll start melting the butter!

Kusa Grass Flip Flops were designed by Yashin, and look just like you’re walking around on grass. They’re made from synthetic turf and not real grass, but I can’t imagine that the real thing would last long stuffed under your sweaty feet all the time.

ThingThong Turns Flip Flips to Instant Thongs

Multipurpose stuff like the Titan Multi Tool Collar and LG Smart Scan Mouse make seemingly ordinary things seem much more useful. But then there are designs like the ThingThong that makes me think twice about cramming too many uses into a certain object. See for yourself and tell me you don’t agree with me.

ThingThongNot a very pretty sight, is it? It’s a concept design (well, I hope it is) by designer Douglas Hamilton. It’s basically a pair of flipflops – and, if needed, it also converts into two pairs of swim trunks.

Each flipflop has a super elastic strap which stretches out and converts it into a thong strap. Just flip the ThingThong over, stretch it wide, step inside, and wear it. It doesn’t look comfortable, attractive, or appealing in any way, so I highly doubt it’ll make it’s way to any manufacturers, but you never know.
