NEC’s New 55-Inch Full HD Monitor With S-IPS Panel

NEC hits back with their new Full HD monitor, the X555UNS. Designed especially for industry sectors like broadcast, retail and command & control, this new 55-inch S-IPS (deliver superior off-angle viewing and excellent color reproduction at off viewing angles in both landscape and portrait orientation) Direct LED-backlight monitor supports a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (support daisy chain up to 2160p) and provides 3500:1 contrast ratio, 700 cd/m2 brightness, 12ms response time and 178/178 degree viewing angles.

Adopting a rugged steel chassis, the X555UNS is built with commercial-grade cooling fans and temperature sensor, and has 1x DVI-D, 1x HDMI and 1x DisplayPort input ports. The NEC X555UNS will be available this month for $6,327. [NEC]

Princeton Unveils A New 23.8-Inch Full HD Monitor

Princeton has unveiled a new 23.8-inch Full HD monitor to its one-up, the PTFB/WJA-24W. Adopting an ADS panel for ensuring wide viewing angle, this new 23.8-inch LED-backlight monitor supports a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and provides 1000:1 contrast ratio (500,000:1 DCR), 250 cd/m2 brightness, 5ms response time (overdrive) and 178/178 degree viewing angles.

Utilizing the ‘Blue Light reduction function’ for reducing eyestrain, the PTFB/WJA-24W comes equipped with an anti-theft security lock slot and built-in stereo speakers (1.5Wx2), and provides 1x D-Sub, 1x DVI-D and 1x HDMI input ports.

The Princeton PTFB/WJA-24W will start shipping from September 4th for 26,800 Yen (about $220) in black and white color options. [Product Page]
