‘Fortnite’ gets a ‘GI Joe’ character with a matching action figure

It’s no longer rare to see action figures for video game characters, but an action figure designed to accompany the character is relatively rare — and Epic Games wants to give it a try. The developer has released a Fortnite outfit for GI Joe’s Snake...

This Custom GI Joe Cobra Commander Assault Rifle Is the Real Deal

We’re gonna need a real American hero because judging by this assault rifle, Cobra Commander means business. This is his weapon of choice. Yes, this is a fully-functional Heckler & Koch XM8 assault rifle. This weapon was modded by Hollywood props engineer Tom Bostic of TommyBuilt Tactical. It’s the weapon that G.I. Joe’s nemesis would use if he were real and not a cartoon.

It has an Insight Technologies 4x XM8 prototype optic, Beta C 100 G36 drum, and a custom barrel shroud. It looks damn good and makes me want a live-action G.I. Joe movie built around its style.

Every G.I. Joe fan reading this wants one, I’m sure, but sadly it’s a one of a kind piece. I never realized how scary Cobra Commander really is until I saw this weapon. This thing looks so awesome. I should have been a prop maker. Then I could make my own cool toys that no one else can have too.

Can you imagine seeing Cobra Commander come at you with this bad boy? Any bad guy with this gun means business. So now I know and knowing is half the battle.

Kickstartin’ Terror: COBRA Needs Your Help to Rebuild Cobra Island

Cobra Kickstarter

Think you’ve seen the last of Cobra? Think again. They’re getting ready to wreak terror once more, but before they can do that, they need to rebuild their secret headquarters that was destroyed by GI Joe. Unfortunately, that’s going to require a whole lot of money–money that the Cobra organization doesn’t have. Rallying behind them are their colleagues Destro and Dr. Mindbender, but they can’t spare that much cash as well.

The solution? Kickstarter.

I mean, people managed to raise money for a Veronica Mars movie using the platform; why not use it to rebuild the Cobra’s secret base?

In case you haven’t figured it out yourself, the whole Kickstart Cobra is a pretty hilarious joke that’s gone viral. Obviously, Cobra doesn’t exist in the real world (or does it?) The whole thing was thought up by Los Angeles-based sketch comedy group, Dumbshit Mountain, who set up and drafted the project’s Kickstarter page.

Make sure you check the page out on Kickstarter though, because they’ve updated it with a hilarious list of backer rewards.
