Belkin today released two new advanced wireless routers namely the AC1000 DB and AC1200 DB. These Wi-Fi routers feature Broadcom’s fifth-generation (5G Wi-Fi) 802.11ac chip technology, offering speeds up to three times faster than existing 802.11n technology. This new technology enables both wireless routers to stream HD content to multiple devices simultaneously. For your info, the Belkin AC1000 DB provides simultaneous dual-band speeds up to 996Mbps (300Mbps on the 2.4GHz + 665Mbps on 5GHz), while the Belkin AC1200 DB operates on 1166Mbps link rate (300Mbps on 2.4GHz + 867Mbps on 5GHz). Other features include Belkin’s built-in IntelliStream QoS, Parental Control, IPv6 compatibility and 4 Gigabit ports. Both wireless router are also backward-compatible with previous generations of Wi-Fi.
