This Hammock Rocking-Chair hybrid is perfect for lounging by the poolside, porch, or even your high-rise balcony

Inspired by tropical elements like the shape of a surfboard, the curvature of a banana, and the overall tranquil nature of a hammock, the Panama Banana is the perfect piece of furniture for outdoor lounging. It’s as comfortable as a hammock or sun chair, but rocks to and fro like a rocking chair, giving you an experience that’s sure to steal your entire afternoon and some more.

The Panama Banana is characterized by two arched birchwood strips joint at the ends, with polyester straps connecting the area in between to create a curved section that you can sleep or sit on. At about 6.8 feet long and 4.2 feet wide, the Panama Banana is spacious enough for one person along with some personal objects like a book, iPad, phone, or towel. Coated with a water-resistant wax, the rocking furniture is perfect for outdoor use, or even indoor use with an outdoor view. Given its tropical influences, it’s best near a pool or on a porch or balcony facing the beach.

Weighing just 11 kilograms (24.2 lbs), it’s lightweight enough to be moved around so you can gather two loungers together and chill with a buddy or your partner. Wooden channels that run horizontally between the two arches can be unplugged, allowing the Panama Banana to fold flat for easier moving and carrying. To reassemble it, just install the horizontal channels and your Panama Banana is ready to be lounged on! The lifecycle of most cat toys isn’t very long. When a cat gets a new stuffed mouse or scratching post, it only takes a couple of days before the scratching post is frayed beyond use and the mouse is missing a limb or two. Despite their short shelf time, cat toys and furniture pieces are chewed on and bitten at by cats like their first meal of the day. Extending the life cycle of cat accessories, feline furniture design brand Catipilla designed a collection of wall-mounted, sustainable furniture for cats with replaceable components that are built from premium materials to blend in with the rest of your furniture.

Catipilla’s furniture collection features pieces like scratching posts, hammocks, and cat climbers, each of which can be mounted onto interior walls. Catipilla designs furniture with quality material to ensure a longer life cycle. Constructed from materials like anodized aluminum and waterproof carpet, each component of their collection is replaceable, adding a degree of durability and insurance to the furniture’s long life cycle. The line of scratchers offers two options: a climber and a scratching post. Differing only in length, the scratching post is shorter in length for cats’ front paws to reach their top. How Stable Is It Really?

Stable enough that a little kid can easily climb in!  Why is it so stable? Basically this setup is like a suspension bridge between two trees. The AERIAL’s stability is gained by connecting to either side of the trees as opposed to a single point like you would find in a standard hammock.

The AERIAL’s connection makes two trees into a four-point connection setup, once one applies tension the AERIAL becomes steady and unflippable even while using trees as small as 5” in diameter. The AERIAL has no set rotation points like you would see in a standard hammock and this creates a stable platform.

Traditional/Standard hammock tents elevated the game by getting campers off the ground but hammocks are not always great for a proper night’s sleep. They provide a cramped interior space that puts pressure onto your shoulders and elbows. Even the flattest laying hammocks force you to sleep on your back and then often curve your spine in unnatural ways. Spreader bar hammocks can help open things up, but become increasingly less stable and prone to tipping. The AERIAL A1 has been designed to tackle these issues while keeping the main benefit of the hammock: being off the ground.

3x Internal Pockets – Inside the tent there are three well placed pockets to hold all your essentials. Two medium size pockets on either end and one “SKY” pocket that is the perfect place for putting your head lamp to light up your tent at night.

Meet Flair, the flattest, most lightweight chair ever made…

Clue: It’s less of a chair and more of a really well-designed hammock.

Designed as a means of public seating that could be accessed when needed, discarded when unwanted, and not abused by people trying to sleep on it, the Flair is a polymer-sheet that is part origami, part furniture, and complete creativity. The Flair, a portmanteau of Flat and Chair, is made from a creased polypropylene sheet that supports its ability to have live-hinges. It suspends on a wall thanks to rivets and hooks at the back that allow the Flair to hang onto the wall like a painting. The wall comes with three sets of rivets, one static, and two that allow you to hook the Flair in its seating position, and in its closed position.

Using the Flair is as simple as using a folding chair. Once you get the knack of it, you don’t need to be shown twice. When closed, the Flair sits flat against a wall, practically hidden from view, thanks to its translucency. When opened, each Flair sits precisely one person and adjusts its curvature to, well, to your curvature… just like a hammock. And like most public seating that discourages behavior like sleeping on the benches at night (more accurately known as defensive design), the Flair’s shape allows you only to sit on it (or perhaps stand too, but I wouldn’t recommend that). Besides being one of the lightest chairs I’ve ever seen (and hands down the flattest), cleaning the Flair is as easy as taking a cloth to it and wiping the dust off it with a singular motion!

This wooden hammock was designed to be just as flexible and comfortable as a fabric one

Adam Cornish’s Wooden Hammock challenges the notion that Hammocks need to be built from flexible materials like cloth or rope. It instead, comes with a series of wooden strips, suspended together by rope, with rubber members between the wooden pieces to spread them out and prevent them from rubbing against one another. Ultimately, designed to be a rest for your spine, the Wooden Hammock takes inspiration from it, using a series of wooden vertebrae to achieve flexibility!

The hammock comes manufactured from plantation-grown Accoya plywood, letting it have the same strength as regular wood but with lesser ecological impact. The plywood gives it a unique texture around its edges, allowing you to admire the wood’s individual ply-layers.
