Japanese Pancake Baths Smell Like Breakfast

I like yummy breakfasts as much as the next guy, but Japan takes things to a whole ‘nother level. In Japan they don’t just eat pancakes for breakfast, they bathe in breakfast foods too. Yes, there are pancake baths open in Japan right now.

These baths might be expected to be filled with syrup or something, but they are instead filled with brown water. That water is scented like vanilla and maple. The brown water looks gross, it looks like syrup in a way, but it also looks like someone forgot to flush after dropping a loosey deucy.

Float a Baby Ruth in one, and you could clear the entire park Caddyshack style. I find the thought of sharing a small pool with as many people as you can cram in it rather gross to start with, add brown deuce water and I’ll pass. I do want some pancakes though.

Hot Tub Hammock: Just Hanging in the Pool

The Hydro Hammock is a combination hot tub/hammock, which is better than a hot tub time machine. You can’t really relax in a hot tub time machine. Too much adventure. It is the ultimate in elevated relaxation.

It is available in both single and double occupant versions and is designed to hold the weight of 50 gallons of water plus two adults. If you ever get a chance to use one, just make sure you find a pair of extremely large and strong trees.

They Hydro Hammock is an as-yet unfunded Kickstarter project.  You can pre-order the single or double capacity Hydro Hammocks for $260 and $390(USD), respectively, but that only gets you the fabric that you can fill with water. If you want to turn it into a hot tub you’ll need an additional $920 for the heater and pump. It looks super relaxing.

Hot Tub Boats: Because Hot Tug Boats Just Sounded Wrong

While they’re not capable of moving you through space and time like a Hot Tub Time Machine, these Hot Tub Boats can at least transport you through water - because why bother swimming, when your boat can do it for you?

These fun boats will help you relax and unwind as you set sail. Its tub is positioned in the vessel’s center of buoyancy, making it quite stable and drafting only 20 inches when it’s filled up with 2,100 lbs of water and six adults. In case you’re wondering how you pilot a boat while you’re taking a bath, it’s controlled via a joystick.

The hot tub boats were engineered and are built in Seattle by a marine carpenter. They have a vinyl-ester hull that’s topped off with a slatted deck, handcrafted from African teak wood.

Its diesel-powered boiler has an adjustable thermostat, and heats the water up to 104° F. There is also a waterproof MP3 stereo system and two flush-mounted 50W speakers that pop-up from the deck. A 24-volt electric motor makes this thing go up to 5mph.

Hot Tub Cinema Lets You Enjoy Movies in Complete Relaxation

Outdoor cinemas were all the rage in the past, and it looks like they’re making a grand comeback. I’m not talking about drive-in theaters though. Rather, I’m talking about the Hot Tub Cinema.

Hot Tub Cinema Yeah, the pictures don’t lie. The Hot Tub Cinema is a traveling screening event that’s currently making the rounds in East London, and it looks like it’s been a huge hit so far. I mean, who doesn’t want to watch a movie while taking a bath with hundreds of other strangers, right?

This particular one was held on the rooftop of Netil360, where classics like Top Gun and Anchorman were screened against London’s grand skyline.

Hot Tub Cinema began privately about seven years ago. Since then it has grown in increments, reaching the stage of a handful of hot tubs in a garden in Stoke Newington about 18 months ago at which point we realised it was time to find some new & exciting venues for our expanding endeavors.

The Hot Tub Cinema has a couple of events scheduled for the Halloween season, which you can check out here. They’re all going to be held in London though, so if you happen to be there, drop by for a truly one-of-a-kind movie-watching experience.

HotTug Hot Tub Boat: Take a Dip While You Sail in a Hot Tub

The HotTug Tub Boat is a hot tub in a boat. The thing is, there isn’t really much of a boat aside from the hot tub itself. So I guess the HotTug really is just a floating hot tub. And a pretty pricey one at that.

Hot Tub Tug BoatThe HotTug Boat is priced somewhere around €16,450. That’s about $21,260(USD) (which could buy you a pretty decent car.)

Obviously, this is one of those toys for the rich boys who love to party. It’s also for those people who want to lounge around in comfort while they’re outdoors (although they’ll have to wait up to three hours for the wood oven to heat the water in the tub to their desired temperature.)

I don’t know about you, but I’d rather buy a car. Or invest in something else. What do you think?

The Hot Tug Hot Tub Boat Is A Mouthful To Pronounce, Seems Fun

At first glance it sure looks like your little boat is taking in water and is about to sink. The two people in the picture are just pretty darn cool about it. Then you look closer and realize that nothing of the sort is happening: they are happily soaking in a hot tub! It just happens that the tub is inside the boat. That, is the Hot Tug Hot Tub Boat (HTHTB) from the Netherlands. Containing up to 2,000L of water and propelled either by an integrated electric motor, or an outboard one, the HTHTB can fit up to 6 passengers looking to sit in water… while sitting in water. The H2O is heated through a wood stove and the contents can take around 3 hours to reach the desired temperature. No matter, since you’re likely to get one fantastic ride for your patience… and also for your money: prices range from €8,950 ($11,575USD) for a bare no-engine/no-heater hull to €16,450 ($21,260USD) for the fully equipped version.
